Job vacancies: Business Intelligence Analyst
Your responsibility will be to contribute to achieving MCB’s strategic objectives by supporting and monitoring the implementation of related initiatives through data mining, provision of analytics, financial performance reviews and analysis to relevant stakeholders within Payments SBU and other LOBs.
In this role you will,
- Assist the reporting line to bring forward on a regular basis comprehensive packs around key business drivers and subsequent implications to support strategy and informed decision making;
- Conduct analysis and use statistics to gain an in-depth visibility of the business context as well as the cross-impact of initiatives, so as to contribute to appropriate mitigation/resolution action plans and effectively balance risks versus potential rewards;
- Provide to respective Managers with pertinent information that will facilitate strategic negotiations and commercial agreements with network providers, service providers and partners;
- Cross-functional collaboration with other business units in the Bank to develop a strong understanding of their reporting, data, and product needs;
- Provide input in the SBU strategic thinking exercise by providing in-depth insights for Payments data on potential strategic opportunities gained through market and internal analysis;
- Perform in-depth multi-dimensional profitability analysis (by product, network, line of business, customer segment) in view of sustaining decision making;
- Assess the need for data reporting tools (e.g. COGNOS Self-Service BI or PowerBI tools) in different sections (non-BI) of Payments SBU and supporting the end-users in terms of training for self-service data extraction and building dashboards;
- Leveraging on software and services to transform data into actionable insights for informed decision-making.

We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of:
- A Degree in Scientific, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Computing, Economics, Accounting or any related field;
- 3 years' experience in Finance/Business Analysis.
You will also be required to demonstrate:
- Critical thinking;
- Good communication and presentation skills.
