Worldpanel by Numerator is looking for a Business Development Manager to accelerate growth across our consumer intelligence solutions, with a particular focus on areas such as Usage and Drinks. The OpportunityIn this role, you'll be responsible for identifying and securing new revenue opportunities, expanding relationships with existing clients, and bringing new organisations into the Worldpanel portfolio. You'll collaborate closely with Client Service teams, act as a trusted advisor to prospects, and lead commercial conversations from initial engagement through to successful delivery.
You will also have the opportunity to coach and mentor colleagues, contribute to team performance, and establish yourself as a subject matter expert within the business.
What You'll Be Doing- Proactively drive growth across designated business areas, including Usage and Drinks services.
- Generate new business opportunities across both existing and prospective clients.
- Win business from competitors and unlock new revenue streams.
- Build strong partnerships with internal Client Service teams to identify and maximise commercial opportunities.
- Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline through networking, industry events, conferences, store visits and market research.
- Lead the full commercial sales cycle, from prospecting and solution development through to negotiation and delivery.
- Create compelling client proposals and presentations that demonstrate the value of Worldpanel solutions.
- Build long-term relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Achieve and exceed individual and team revenue targets.
- Coach, mentor and support junior team members while promoting best practice sales behaviours.
- Act as a market and sector expert, sharing insights and knowledge with colleagues across the business.
- Native-level French language skills.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Proven success in sales, business development or commercial client-facing roles.
- Experience as a Business Development Manager, Business Development Director, or a high-performing client service professional looking to move into a commercial role.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to establish credibility and influence senior stakeholders.
- Previous experience managing, coaching or mentoring team members.
- Experience using Salesforce and/or Salesloft is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the confidence to articulate complex data solutions.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A naturally curious mindset with a genuine interest in consumer behaviour, retail trends and market dynamics.
- Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to turn insights into compelling client stories.
- A proactive, adaptable approach and enthusiasm for driving change.
