As our BNPL business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced BNPL Product & Operations Lead to drive the development and evolution of our Buy Now, Pay Later platform. Working closely with our Business Development, Product, Risk, Operations, Commercial, and Technology teams, you'll turn business strategy into scalable, compliant, and commercially successful solutions.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands the BNPL ecosystem end-to-end. You'll combine deep product expertise with strong operational knowledge to shape solutions that support the entire customer journey—from merchant onboarding and checkout integration to credit decisioning, repayments, servicing, collections, reconciliation, reporting, and partner performance management. Beyond leading delivery, you'll ensure our platform is built with the right balance of customer experience, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and commercial success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
BNPL Platform Development & Strategy
Own the development and continuous evolution of the BNPL platform, ensuring that its architecture, functionality, and operational processes support the business strategy, customer needs, and market requirements.
Define and manage the platform roadmap in close collaboration with the Business Development and Product teams, aligning priorities with commercial objectives, partner expectations, regulatory requirements, and long-term scalability.
Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications, user stories, integration requirements, process flows, and delivery plans, ensuring successful implementation across cross-functional teams.
Functional BNPL Expertise
Act as the subject matter expert on BNPL products and operations, ensuring the platform is designed around real customer journeys, merchant needs, operational efficiency, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure all product capabilities work seamlessly together to deliver a scalable, commercially successful, and customer-centric BNPL experience.
Provide expertise across the full BNPL product lifecycle, including:
Pay Later and monthly invoice products
Installment plans and revolving credit solutions
Purchase power display and customer pre-qualification
Merchant and marketplace onboarding and integrations
Credit application, decisioning, affordability, and risk assessment
Customer repayment journeys, servicing, and account management
Refunds, cancellations, returns, and partial captures
Merchant settlement, reconciliation, and financial operations
Collections, dispute management, and portfolio servicing
Reporting, monitoring, analytics, and portfolio performance management
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in BNPL, consumer finance, embedded finance, payments, lending platforms, or credit technology, combined with a strong track record of delivering complex technology solutions in a fast-paced financial services environment.
You will bring:
Proven experience leading the delivery of financial technology products, preferably within BNPL, lending, installment payments, or embedded finance.
Strong understanding of BNPL business models, product mechanics, merchant requirements, customer journeys, and end-to-end operational processes.
Experience partnering with Business Development and Commercial teams to deliver partner-driven products and integrations.
Practical knowledge of API integrations, merchant checkout flows, payment processing, credit decisioning, customer account management, and back-office platforms.
The ability to translate business and product requirements into technical architecture, solution designs, and delivery plans.
Experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving Engineering, Product, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and external partners.
Solid understanding of system architecture, scalability, data flows, security, reliability, monitoring, and production support.
Hands-on experience with Agile delivery methodologies, backlog management, technical documentation, and release planning.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Experience in building, launching, or scaling a BNPL platform, digital lending platform, payment solution, or other embedded finance product.
Experience in working within European consumer finance, fintech, or another regulated financial services environment.
Knowledge of credit underwriting, affordability assessment, risk-based pricing, credit limit management, and collections processes.
Hands-on experience with merchant acquiring, e-commerce checkout integrations, payment service providers (PSPs), open banking, credit bureaus, or credit decisioning platforms.
Previous experience in roles such as Solution Architect, Technical Product Owner, Engineering Lead, Delivery Lead, Fintech Platform Lead, or a similar position bridging business and technology.
The starting salary for this position is €5,000 gross per month.
