About This Job
We are seeking a driven and innovative AVP, Social Media Strategist to lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide social media strategies for Axos. This role spans across all business units (Bank, Securities, and beyond), covering both B2B and B2C initiatives. As part of the Enterprise Marketing team, you will own Axos’s social media strategy, leveraging platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube to enhance brand awareness, audience engagement, and digital growth.
This is a unique opportunity to apply your social media expertise and creativity to drive digital engagement, modernize Axos’s brand perception, and align social strategies with the company’s business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies across Axos’ business units (B2B and B2C), tailoring campaigns to target audiences and business objectives
- Create and curate dynamic, engaging content in various formats (videos, carousels, EGC, still images, etc.), ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and audience preferences
- Own and maintain a forward-looking social media calendar to ensure consistent activity across platforms
- Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics, providing actionable insights to optimize campaigns, increase engagement, and drive growth
- Identify and implement innovative social strategies to strengthen Axos’ digital footprint and position the brand as a leader in financial services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure social initiatives support broader marketing and enterprise goals
- Lead influencer, referral, and ambassador programs to amplify brand awareness and engagement
- Guide executives and employees on social media best practices to enhance business growth and personal branding
- Act as the first line of defense for managing and mitigating risks associated with published social content, collaborating with risk management teams to ensure compliance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of social media marketing experience with expertise in both B2B and B2C strategies
- Proven ability to create and implement social strategies that drive engagement, awareness, and growth
- Knowledge of social media tools and platforms, including Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Workfront), Sprout Social, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Background in financial services is a plus, with a solid understanding of the industry’s unique challenges and regulatory considerations
- Strong project management skills with a track record of meeting deadlines and delivering results in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional ability to present, pitch, and sell concepts at executive levels
- Flexibility to travel and collaborate in-person at Axos offices as required.
