Supports and promotes the overall product quality for a given product family (value stream) throughout the complete product lifecycle structured problem solving and continuous improvement methods.
Responsibilities
- Assist in gathering data and supporting activities aimed at improving processes and reducing waste through continuous improvement efforts.
- Help document and communicate customer quality requirements to the value stream and ensure they are considered during daily operations.
- Support team members in making quality-related changes by preparing materials, attending meetings, and tracking follow-up actions.
- Monitor routine quality checks and assist in preparing summaries or reports to inform the team about product quality status.
- Identify and evaluate project risks and collaborate with team champions to remove roadblocks that may affect team progress.
- Help track and document findings from improvement and problem-solving efforts and share insights with relevant team members.
- Assist in presenting project updates to stakeholders.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/technical degree or equivalent experience.
- 6 Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
- Awareness of quality tools needed to drive improvement activities for complex product, process, or system issues.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively on cross-functional, global teams.
- Hands on problem solver.
- Experience with structured problem-solving using sound methodologies (e.g. Scientific method, 8D, DMAIC, A3 Thinking is a plus.
- Ability to make data-based decisions.
- Ability to present project updates.
- Ability to recognize larger picture beyond just detailed issues .
- Understand the complete value stream for assigned product families for both new product development and operations after product launch.
- Experience working in a lean office environment.
- Competitive salary starting at $70,000 with potential up to 15% higher based on experience and skills.
