We're looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Hammerhead Bike Computer team in Colorado Springs, helping build the future of interface to support cyclists worldwide. This role is ideal for someone comfortable owning and driving system architecture, leading design, and working in a cross-functional team.
Responsibilities
- Develop robust, innovative, and scalable electrical designs that balance features, cost, efficiency, and reliability.
- Collaborate with program, mechanical, firmware, and design teams to ensure manufacturable, patentable solutions.
- Clearly communicate electrical engineering timelines, proactively resolving risks and highlighting resource needs to meet launch goals.
- Oversee vendors, consultants, and stakeholders across projects.
- Guide test development to ensure reliability throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams through to mass production.
- Lead component research, validation, and selection; define and guide testing for performance, reliability, and field issues.
- Manage CAD, BOM, PLM systems; review architecture, DFM/DFMA/DFMEA/FEA.
- Clearly communicate and listen to opinions and perspectives.
- Demonstrably data-driven with product analytics experience.
- Reliable team member who delivers on commitments.
- Solutions-oriented, applying resourceful and creative problem-solving.
- Customer-centric engineer with an ability to understand the needs and identify problems worth solving.
- Provide mentorship and/or direction to staff within your area of technical focus.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related degrees required. MS preferred.
- 5+ years of experience designing consumer or industrial hardware products.
- Competitive salary starting at $125,000, with potential up to 45% higher based on experience and skills.
