Within Global Finance Technology, this role will help shape and deliver finance technology initiatives that enable business growth, improve operational efficiency, and support strong controls, reporting accuracy, and compliance.
As a Associate Finance Product Manager , you will play an important role in shaping and implementing product vision across finance-focused initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to evolve our solutions in ways that address customer and business needs, strengthen operational outcomes, and reinforce Expedia Group’s leadership in the marketplace.
About the team
Global Finance Technology (GFT) is a Finance strategy and solutions team that partners across Finance and Technology to drive finance technology initiatives. The team represents Finance, Controls, Risk, and Compliance by assessing operational finance impacts of new initiatives, ensuring Expedia Group systems support required changes, and maintaining continuous reporting accuracy and SOX compliance.
GFT also helps assess and manage cross-functional work spanning Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Fraud, Billing, Payments, and FP&A. The team’s mission is to help Expedia Group run and expand the business by supporting initiatives that unlock new revenue streams, deliver cost savings, improve products, and address regulatory requirements.
What you’ll do
- Support multiple FP&A initiatives simultaneously from concept through launch, including roadmap development, execution, and close-out
- Gather, refine, and prioritize business requirements and translate them into clear, actionable specifications for development teams
- Build strong product understanding to identify user needs, shape solutions, prioritize features, align stakeholders, and support the product vision
- Partner closely with Engineering, Finance, Tax, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to drive alignment and effective communication throughout delivery
- Evaluate the impact of upstream accounting and transaction systems on downstream FP&A processes and reporting outcomes
- Identify delivery, process, and compliance risks across initiatives and help drive mitigation plans
- Champion process improvement opportunities across the finance organization and help drive positive, scalable change
- Support high-quality execution across multiple concurrent launches in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
Who you are
- 5+ years of recent and relevant experience
- Experience working with financial processes, strategic finance, finance requirements documentation, process design, and user acceptance testing
- Ability to understand underlying accounting and transaction systems and assess their impact on downstream FP&A processes and reporting outcomes
- Experience with Oracle Cloud EPM or a similar tool
- Experience using PMO and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, and SharePoint
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across Finance, Technology, and other partner teams
- A strong sense of ownership and a track record of identifying process improvement opportunities and driving positive change
- Comfortable working with teams across geographies and time zones
- Able to navigate ambiguity and complexity while supporting multiple simultaneous project launches
- Experience with travel technology is preferred
