Job Description:
Vertiv Global Engineering Centre, Pune is looking for dynamic and experienced BIM MEPF Engineer, knowledge in Revit content creation as well as well-versed in coordination with all trades to work closely with BIM Manager.
Sr. Engineer – is responsible for delivering high‑quality, coordinated, and standards‑compliant BIM models and documentation across multidisciplinary (Architecture/Structure/MEPF) scopes, with a strong emphasis on data centers and industrial projects. This role drives model quality, coordination (clash detection & resolution), delivery efficiency, and adherence to organizational standards, while mentoring junior modelers and supporting process/automation improvements.
Job Specifications:
- Must have full time bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical or electrical preferred)
- Must have 1.5 – 2.5 years of experience in BIM modeling using Revit.
- Strong understanding of BIM principles and practices.
- Exposure to data center projects, productized solutions (e.g., prefabricated/skid systems), and vendor model integration.
- Develop detailed and LOD-appropriate Revit models (Architecture/Structure/MEPF) aligned with BIM Execution Plans (BEP), project standards, and naming conventions.
- Create/maintain families/content with parametric controls, metadata, classification codes (e.g., UniClass/OmniClass as required), and performance optimization.
- Produce coordinated drawings (plans, sections, elevations, schedules) and fabrication-ready sheets per client and internal QA/QC checklists.
- Set up and manage federated models; perform clash detection and issue tracking (e.g., Navisworks/ACC Issues/BIM Track).
- Lead coordination meetings, publish clash reports, assign owners, and validate resolutions before model freeze.
- Collaborate with Design, Product Engineering, Pre‑Sales, and Project Management for scope, priorities, and deliverables.
- Interface with external stakeholders (consultants/clients/vendors) for technical clarifications and RFIs.
- Enforce BIM standards, templates, shared parameters, and content libraries; contribute to continuous improvement.
- Support automation and productivity (e.g., Dynamo scripts, Revit add-ins, parameter mapping, schedules).
- Hands-on with Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM 360/ACC), and issue workflows.
- Understanding of asset data schemas (e.g., COBie), classification systems, and Model View Definitions.
- Excellent in English communication and prestation skills.
- Strong Conceptual, problem solving and Analytical Skills.
- Demonstrate positive attitude, high ethics, and a working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment.
In addition to these duties the BIM Engineer is also responsible for creating, managing, and coordinating high-quality BIM models, collaborating effectively with engineers, and other disciplines to optimize design, identify and resolve clashes & conflicts, and improve overall project efficiency. He/ she will be responsible for delivering quality deliverables as per the organization’s standards. Work closely with different LoB’s and stakeholders to meet deadlines. He should ensure all team-related timesheets, quality plan, project updates on time. Stay up to date with evolving BIM technologies and workflows. Maintain clear and concise project documentation related to BIM tasks.

- Strong understanding of BIM principles and practices
- Experience or exposure to data center projects
