We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Support Engineer to join our IT team. This role is ideal for entry-level candidates who are passionate about technology and eager to build a career in software support and system operations.
The Software Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting internal applications, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with development and business teams to ensure smooth system operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for internal software applications and systems.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve user-reported issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability.
- Work closely with development teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Assist in testing new features, bug fixes, and system enhancements.
- Maintain documentation for issues, solutions, and system configurations.
- Support data validation, basic queries, and reporting tasks (SQL-based).
- Communicate effectively with business users to understand and resolve issues.
- Participate in system deployments and post-release support.
Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
• Basic understanding of programming concepts (any language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript).
• Familiarity with databases (preferably Oracle) and basic SQL queries.
• Understanding of APIs and how systems integrate is a plus.
• Familiarity with tools like Excel, Power BI, logging tools, and ticketing systems.
