Medicare – Application Development Senior Manager
Position Overview:
The job profile for this position is Application Development Senior Manager, which is a Band 4 Senior Contributor Career Track Role.
The Application Development Senior Manager is expected to directly manage work efforts of the Medicare Service team in the Application Development discipline. This position is an experienced position accountable for project and support work efforts of multiple Salesforce applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage application stability activities, participation/leadership on escalated production issues and follow up problem management activities, ad-hoc research and analysis, and trouble ticket triage
- Manage a team accountable for monitoring, health check, issue reporting, issue triage and incident management for a number of internal and external facing production applications
- Maintain domain expertise on systems supported and participate in technology strategy, design, and day-to-day operations of supported applications
- Actively manage high priority issues impacting production applications and help drive them to resolution working with multiple teams across the enterprise
- Responsible for successful implementation of Vendor staffing initiatives and the management of outsourced/offshore staff (managed services and time & materials)
- Responsible for developing existing and new team members to be highly motivated and productive
- Establish and maintain necessary processes and procedures for operational support of applications
- Provide periodic performance reviews for full time employee resources
Required Experience / Qualifications:
- Software development program/project management experience
- Experience with application Service Level Agreements and related support activities
- Knowledge of the entire software development lifecycle – both agile and waterfall
- Experience in establishing and maintaining an application support vision, setting goals/objectives and providing direction
- Ability to interface and communicate effectively with top-level management to influence technical discussions and decisions
- Solid planning abilities - demonstrated history of setting milestone dates and then making specific assignments for a team and ensuring their completion
- 15+ years of progressive experience working in business and IT organizations combined
- Bachelors and/or Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent work experience

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 132,800 - 221,400 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
