We’re forming our first engineering squad dedicated to accelerating Blink’s growth in the United States. The US is a key market for us, and this team will play a direct role in building products and integrations that meet the needs of US customers.
As part of this squad, you’ll work with a high degree of ownership, delivering outcomes end to end for US customers, including core integrations with partners such as Workday. The team will run its own roadmap while staying aligned with other engineering squads on shared initiatives and technical direction.
Role Overview:We are looking for an Android Developer who'll work with a team of talented developers, engineers and designers to build the future of the digital workplace. Our product is highly secure, highly available, performant and beautifully designed. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing solutions that make peoples everyday work lives easier.
- Creating and maintaining Android apps.
- Working with UI/UX designers and product designers to build a new approach to interacting with applications via a ‘conversational UI’.
- Debugging, Bug fixing and improving application performance.
- Writing clean, well-documented, maintainable code that is easy to read and modify while rapidly iterating and shipping.
Requirements🚀 About you
We're looking for someone who is ambitious and wants to develop in a fast-growing company. The successful candidate will be resourceful, inquisitive and a fast learner. You’ll be able to pick up new concepts quickly and empathise with customer pain points. We’re also looking for:
- Proficient with Kotlin, common Android Frameworks and using reactive patterns.
- Strong understanding of mobile databases.
- Detailed knowledge of architectural patterns and how to apply them.
- Skilled in writing responsive, accessible, and maintainable UI components.
- Experience with unit and integration testing, continuous integration and delivery.
- Examples of published apps you’ve worked on before.
