Job Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven Local After-Sales Finance Manager to oversee the full financial operations of three automotive after-sales service centers in Nigeria. You will establish standardized, time-bound financial controls covering revenue settlement, procurement compliance, cash management, and reporting, ensuring zero tolerance for delayed closures, unchecked prepayments, or unaccounted cash flows.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Settlement & WIP Control
- Oversee end-to-end revenue settlement across three sites; implement a Work-in-Progress (WIP) tracking mechanism to ensure completed jobs are closed within defined timelines.
- Enforce daily three-way reconciliation among job value, actual receipts, and system settlement; investigate and clear discrepancies on the same day to ensure 100% data accuracy.
Procurement & Payment Compliance
- Review parts procurement requests and payment workflows; control prepayment ratios and ensure strict "3-way matching" of Purchase Order, GRN, and supplier invoice.
- Maintain a centralized supplier payment ledger with built-in duplicate-check controls to prevent duplicate payments and ensure all expenditures comply with company authorization policies.
Cash & Banking Oversight
- Manage local bank accounts across all sites; monitor daily cash flows, match incoming remittances to revenue sources promptly, and safeguard fund security.
- Regulate cash collections, petty cash, and deposit schedules; conduct periodic cash counts to eliminate misappropriation risks and ensure book-to-bank alignment.
Financial Reporting & Audit Support
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly site financial reports covering revenue settlement, procurement, cash position, and variance analysis in a consolidated, data-backed format.
- Support internal and external audits by maintaining complete financial records, supporting documents, and approval trails; provide requested documentation within 24 hours.
Team Management & Internal Controls
- Lead, train, and appraise site accountants; establish standardized SOPs and strict deadline-driven performance standards to overcome operational delays.
- Identify and escalate financial fraud risks and control gaps; enforce zero-tolerance policies on unauthorized payments, off-system collections, and data manipulation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional qualification: ICAN, ACCA, CPA (mandatory or strong advantage)
- Minimum 8 years of finance experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial position
- Automotive aftersales or dealership operations is a plus
- Strong knowledge of automotive service, parts, and warranty processes
