We’re expanding our Aviva Services Excellence Centre (ASEC) - an international, highly collaborative team delivering actuarial systems used by Aviva business units worldwide.

What you’ll be doing

• Build and develop data models and analytical pipelines in Snowflake

• Design and maintain high-quality, scalable solutions using SQL and Python

• Translate actuarial concepts into robust data structures and analytical workflows

• Support development of data-driven actuarial assumptions

• Collaborate with actuarial teams to enhance methodologies and data usage

• Optimize performance and efficiency of solutions in Snowflake environment

• Document data models, transformations, and analytical logic

• Contribute to improvements in tools, processes, and analytical standards

What we’re looking for

• ~4+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, actuarial analytics, or related field

• Strong experience with:

  • SQL (advanced level)

  • Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse

  • Python (data analysis, automation)

• Strong understanding of data modelling and practical experience in designing, building, and processing large datasets

• Experience in life insurance / actuarial analytics / experience studies

• Solid grounding in statistics or actuarial concepts

• Ability to translate business problems into data-driven solutions

• Strong analytical thinking and structured approach

• Experience working with business and analytical stakeholders

• Very good command of English (spoken and written)

Nice to have:

• Experience with:

  • DBT / data pipelines

  • cloud environments (Azure / AWS)
