ACCOUNT MANAGER – NORTHERN UK
Field Based | Northern UK | Company Car | Uncapped Commission
Are you a driven sales professional who loves winning new business, building relationships and being out on the road with customers?
We’re looking for an Account Manager to join our Mascus team at Ritchie Bros., taking ownership of a territory across the Northern part of the UK. You'll manage your own territory, develop new customer relationships, and help businesses sell equipment through our global marketplace.
This is a role for someone who enjoys the buzz of sales, is comfortable picking up the phone, and thrives on building a strong pipeline and turning opportunities into results.
What you’ll be doing
- Generate new business through high-volume outbound prospecting
- Build and develop long-term customer relationships
- Get out in the field and meet customers face-to-face
- Grow equipment listings and sales opportunities across your territory
- Manage your pipeline and activity through CRM
- Hit targets and drive territory growth
- Represent Mascus at trade shows and industry events
What we’re looking for
You’re commercially driven, resilient and motivated by results. You understand that consistent activity creates consistent results, but you also know that great sales are built on strong relationships.
You’ll ideally have:
- 4+ years’ experience in Account Management, Business Development, Inside Sales or a similar sales role
- A proven ability to prospect and generate new business
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence making outbound calls and working at pace
- Experience using CRM systems
- A self-motivated, target-driven approach
- A full UK driving licence
Experience in Construction, Automotive, Transport, Machinery, Recruitment, Media, Telecoms or SaaS would be an advantage - but it’s not essential.
And if you have an interest or background in heavy machinery, even better!
What’s in it for you?
We want you to build a long-term career with us, not just take your next job.
You'll get:
- Competitive salary
- Uncapped commission
- Company car
- Full training and onboarding
- Career progression within a global business
- The opportunity to own, grow and develop your own territory
- A supportive, collaborative and experienced Mascus team
Our European Mascus team is made up of around 45 colleagues, with a strong culture of teamwork and camaraderie. Many of our people have built long careers with us and we’re looking for someone who wants to do the same.
