About the Role:
A strong understanding of the IT industry, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a proven track record of achieving multi-million-dollar revenue targets through direct sales and channel partnerships in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development:
You will achieve revenue goals and targets through net new account acquisitions.
You will acquire and onboard new large enterprise customers across all verticals in the assigned territory.
You will develop product-specific Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies, including forecasting, setting targets, and pipeline management.
You will identify and develop long-term strategic relationships with decision-makers and other key stakeholders.
You will utilize metric-driven strategies, and persuasions, and engage in commercial negotiations to maximize company revenues.
You will attend weekly/monthly/quarterly review meetings with leadership.
Management and Leadership:
You will develop and lead a high-performing B2B sales team.
You will provide guidance, coaching, and constructive feedback to nurture the team's professional growth.
You will establish transparent and frequent communication channels to keep the B2B team informed about their progress towards KPIs.
You will lead initiatives and build the company's sales function.
Requirements
About You:
Must Haves;
Minimum of 5 years of individual SaaS sales experience, showcasing a deep understanding of enterprise SaaS positioning, pricing, and business development strategies across East Africa.
You should currently be handling ticket sizes between USD 2-4 million per year.
Extensive experience in negotiating terms and successfully closing large deals, including mega deal contracts.
Strong understanding of the IT industry and proven success in selling enterprise software applications such as HCM, ERP, etc., with experience in multi-channel go-to-market models.
Proven track record of achieving targets, coupled with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-focused environment.
