We are looking for a highly motivated and creative individual with a passion for building positive workplace experiences to join the Learning & Knowledge Management (L&KM) Center of Excellence at New York Life Group Benefit Solutions (NYL GBS). The ideal candidate is curious, collaborative, and eager to learn, with strong communication skills and an interest in employee engagement, organizational culture, and innovation. We seek someone who thrives in a team environment, contributes fresh ideas, and is excited to make a meaningful impact on how employees connect to their work and to each other.
What You'll Do
As an Employee Engagement Intern, you will collaborate with our teams on projects that strengthen culture, foster connection, and support the employee experience. Depending on your role, projects may include:
- Employee Engagement Initiatives
- Collaborate with Engagement Champions and business partners to execute day-to-day engagement activities.
- Assist in designing and implementing strategies that foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Content Development
- Create engaging communications (e.g., newsletters, presentations, videos, and digital campaigns).
- Use storytelling and multimedia platforms to connect employees to our mission and values.
- Collaboration & Events
- Partner across departments to identify opportunities for enhancing engagement.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for engagement-focused events, campaigns, and programs.
- Research & Innovation
- Research employee engagement trends, tools, and best practices.
- Propose creative, data-informed ideas to strengthen employee connection and experience.
- Metrics & Reporting
- Help track and analyze engagement metrics to measure program success.
- Compile reports and insights to inform leadership decisions and refine strategies.
Required Skills
- Rising junior or senior pursuing a degree at an accredited 4-year college or university (graduating between Spring 2026 and Spring 2027)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Ability to think strategically and identify opportunities for improvement

Pay Transparency
Salary range: $21
Overtime eligible: Nonexempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
