Oversee three licensed YMCA before- and after-school program sites, supervise and mentor coordinators and staff, ensure Massachusetts EEC licensing compliance, support scheduling and operations, maintain documentation, and build relationships with children, families, schools, and community partners. During summer, provide leadership for YMCA day camp programs while promoting safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate experiences.

Requires a group exercise certification, CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain, strong communication skills, community-service orientation, and ability to meet physical demands including lifting 40 pounds.

Leads and grows youth basketball leagues, including the Jr. Celtics League, serving approximately 100–150 participants. Coordinates schedules, games, practices, teams, coaches, officials, families, equipment, and program logistics. Creates an inclusive environment focused on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and participant safety. Communicates program information, resolves concerns, monitors participant experiences, and collaborates with YMCA leadership to strengthen and expand basketball programming.

Supports children with social, emotional, behavioral, developmental, and learning needs across early learning, OST, and summer camp programs. Develops behavior support strategies, accommodations, and interventions; coaches staff; collaborates with families, schools, providers, and agencies; assists with training and transitions; and promotes inclusive, safe, and supportive environments.

Supports safe, clean, and welcoming aquatics programs by engaging swimmers and families, monitoring pool-deck activities, maintaining equipment, assisting coaches and instructors, and promoting safe behavior. May provide in-water support, demonstrate basic swimming skills, and assist during practices and meets. Requires teamwork, communication, physical mobility on wet surfaces, and the ability to respond appropriately during emergencies.

Lead and grow the Marblehead YMCA gymnastics program, overseeing recreational classes, open gym, camps, events, and team progression. Coach youth participants, develop routines, recruit and supervise staff, manage schedules, communicate with families, and ensure safe, inclusive, high-quality programming. The role requires gymnastics coaching expertise, staff leadership, participant progression knowledge, and availability for Tuesday-Saturday work, including evenings and weekends.

Leads education programs across multiple sites, supervises and develops Site Coordinators, drives program quality and enrollment, oversees budgets and operational performance, ensures EEC licensing and safety compliance, and builds relationships with families, schools, community partners, and regulatory agencies.

Supports employee relations, compliance, recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, policy administration, training, engagement initiatives, audits, and HR records across multiple YMCA locations. Advises employees and managers on employment laws and policies, assists with investigations and documentation, maintains confidential data, processes employment changes, and contributes to an inclusive workplace culture.

Greet families, confirm absences, check children into the afterschool program, verify guardian identities at pick-up, maintain attendance records, and communicate with Site Coordinators and families about each child's day.

Lead a safe, inclusive early learning classroom by designing age-appropriate lessons, building relationships with children and families, supporting diverse learning styles, completing required trainings and certifications, and maintaining CPR/First Aid and EEC-required documentation.

Provide flexible substitute teaching coverage at licensed YMCA early learning centers across multiple North Shore locations. Step into different classrooms and age groups, maintain continuity of care, support child development, communicate with staff and families, and travel between assigned sites. Officiate youth and adult YMCA sports games, enforce rules, promote sportsmanship and safety, resolve conflicts calmly, communicate professionally, and support positive experiences for participants and families.

Lead age-appropriate gymnastics classes from preschool to advanced levels, implement curriculum to build skills and confidence, maintain a safe supportive environment, connect with participants and families to drive retention, and assist with open gym, vacation programs, and special events.
