We started as a web shop. Taoti opened in 1996 building websites, and we never stopped being the people who write the code. That is why the complicated builds tend to end up here: the ten systems that have to become one, the platform the last agency could not finish, the site that has to pass an accessibility audit and a procurement review in the same month. The creative came next, and then the cameras, and then the fabrication shop. Today one team can name the thing, design it, build the platform behind it, run the campaign, and weld the forty-foot version of it for the Mall. We have been in DC since 2003 and at 507 8th Street SE since we outgrew the last place. Twelve thousand square feet of studio, shop, and event space, a block from the Marine Barracks. The venue is ours, which is why an event we run costs what it costs. Thirty years covers the dot com bust, a recession, a pandemic, and now the AI revolution. We are still here, still independent, and still owned by the person who started it.
