Perform refraction, visual acuity, non-contact tonometry, auto-refractor, lensometer, visual field testing, fundus photography, OCT, blood pressure, eye drop instillation, case history review, and prepare the clinic day while coordinating with retail staff and handing off care to the OD.

Partner with the Optometrist to drive business initiatives, resolve customer issues, and ensure operational processes are followed.

Provide clinical support to the Doctor of Optometry to improve exam efficiency and patient experience by performing diagnostic tests (refraction, visual acuity, tonometry, auto-refractor, visual fields, fundus photography, OCT), measuring vitals, recording case histories, preparing clinic workflow, instilling eye drops, and coordinating with retail staff.

Provide clinical support to the Doctor of Optometry to improve exam efficiency and patient experience. Prepare clinic workflow, communicate with retail staff, perform refraction, visual acuity, non-contact tonometry, auto-refractor measurements, lensometer checks, visual field testing, fundus photography, OCT, blood pressure, eye drop instillation, and other clinical procedures within the ophthalmic technician scope, then hand off care to the OD.

Provide clinical support to the Doctor of Optometry to improve exam efficiency and patient experience. Prepare clinic workflow, perform refraction, visual acuity, non-contact tonometry, auto-refractor testing, visual fields, fundus photography, OCT, lensometry, blood pressure measurement, eye drop instillation, and other technician-level procedures within scope. Communicate with retail office staff and hand off patient care to the OD.

Welcome patients, manage scheduling and appointment book, gather and update insurance information, handle computer tasks (receipts, job entries), maintain medical records, process insurance rejections and patient notifications, support opticians and managers, assist in daily business close-out and reporting, and ensure a smooth, positive patient experience.

Lead and manage optical store operations and team, partner with the Optometrist to drive sales and patient care, hire/train/coaching staff, ensure compliance and operational processes, dispense eyewear, handle key-carrier tasks, and meet financial and customer service goals.

Greet patients, manage phone and in-person appointments, verify and update insurance and medical records, process receipts and daily reporting, support opticians and managers, ensure smooth office flow, and maintain excellent customer service in a busy optical office.
