Process and manage vetting applications for employees, contractors, volunteers and partners in line with the statutory Vetting Code of Practice and Authorised Professional Practice. Maintain Core-Vet records, perform enquiries against police information systems, liaise with stakeholders, provide administrative support for vetting interviews, charging, appeals and reporting, and contribute to continuous improvement and marketing of the Force Vetting Unit.

Lead continuous improvement, quality assurance and systems optimisation across HR and Learning. Redesign processes, implement QA frameworks, audit and root-cause analysis, optimise Oracle systems, analyse service data, develop performance measures, and embed standardised, auditable, and efficient ways of working with stakeholders to support transformation and compliance.

Provide clerical and administrative support to the Domestic Abuse Risk Assessor (DARA) portfolio. Manage incoming emails and critical markers, process Operation Encompass data, run PND/PNC checks, interrogate police systems (Connect, CMS, SMART CONTACT, PROCAD), compile reports, and liaise with partner agencies. Support MARAC and DVPO teams and perform general admin for the DARA Manager.

Act as Case Officer for allocated Child Protection Conferences, represent South Yorkshire Police at conferences and strategy meetings, make decisions about child protection plans, quality assure CPC minutes and actions, maintain CONNECT records, escalate safety concerns, and work collaboratively across multi-agency partners.

Provide senior-level executive support to a Chief Officer including diary and inbox management, booking national/international travel, handling correspondence and calls, strategic minute-taking, arranging hospitality and events, liaising with stakeholders, managing confidential and complex information, and ensuring smooth SCT operations.

Provide investigative oversight and quality assurance for Operation Beaconport. Manage staffing, resources, budgets, and case documentation. Supervise and mentor staff, chair meetings, deputise for investigation managers, perform HOLMES/MIR office manager functions, and ensure enquiries pursue reasonable lines of enquiry to safeguard victims and bring offenders to justice.

Lead and manage a team conducting complex child sexual exploitation investigations (Operation Beaconport). Set investigative direction, make case decisions, liaise with senior officers and external agencies, ensure victim care, quality-assure reports, chair multi-agency meetings, supervise staff, and manage workloads and resources.

Carry out complex investigations into group-based child sexual exploitation (2010-2025). Gather evidence and intelligence, conduct risk assessments, interview victims, witnesses and suspects to PIP2/ABE standards, record admissible evidence, liaise with CPS, attend court, participate in multi-agency meetings, and support colleagues under senior officer direction.

Support Operation Beaconport investigations by conducting open and closed source research, using police systems to produce reports, assessing and processing sensitive information, liaising with stakeholders, managing databases and digital evidence, completing Charter applications under the Investigatory Powers Act, and disseminating research products to support the investigative team.

Manage high-value Healthcare & Forensic Services contract across South Yorkshire & Humberside, lead procurement projects, develop commercial and contract strategies, negotiate with stakeholders, ensure compliance with procurement legislation and value for money, and monitor supplier performance.
