Coordinates financial administration, rail logistics, inventory transactions, shipment documentation, invoicing, accounts payable, revenue and expense monitoring, reconciliations, and data validation. Serves as a liaison between field operations and back-office teams, supports administrative and business process activities, maintains compliance records, and contributes to process improvement projects. The role is fully onsite in Chicago, Monday through Friday, with overtime and occasional training travel as needed.

Supervise daily refinery and industrial rail logistics operations, including railcar switching, loading, unloading, material movement, staffing, and shift planning. Lead safety briefings, enforce OSHA, FRA, DOT, and HAZMAT compliance, serve as incident commander during emergencies, and coach up to five team members. Coordinate with refinery, railroad, customer, and internal teams while maintaining operational records, reporting issues, and supporting equipment maintenance.

Conduct full-cycle recruiting for industrial and skilled labor roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, onboarding, and candidate communication. Partner with hiring managers, maintain recruiting activity in Dayforce, attend job fairs, support workforce outreach, ensure hiring compliance, and improve recruiting processes. The role requires 2+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in industrial or logistics environments, with overnight travel of approximately 20%.
