Product Team

There’s no such thing as asking too many questions at Rokt. According to Software Engineering Manager Nicholas Croce, humility is essential to driving innovation across the company’s technical teams. Within this ego-less space, engineers develop cutting-edge technology while taking part in development opportunities, such as hackathons and workshops. Whether they’re brainstorming ideas cross-functionally or expanding machine learning models, Rokt’stars continually transform the world of e-commerce while supporting each other along the way.

Employee Reviews

Sarah Bleasdale

Through our latest product, we’ve transformed a historically major cost center for e-commerce businesses into a profit center.

Sarah Bleasdale, Senior Product Manager

For Sarah Bleasdale, each day on her team presents its own unique set of challenges. Having recently relocated to Rokt’s NYC office from Sydney, she’s helping create a new product and revenue stream, which will provide monetization opportunities for e-commerce partners. “We want to ensure we’re laser-focused on our customers’ needs first and work backward to determine a solution,” Bleasdale said. In her mind, this progress is made possible by the team’s top-down approach to product strategy, which enables team members to focus on the right problems to solve for the company and its customers.

Nicholas Croce

I try to give each of my engineers the autonomy to lead projects quarter to quarter.

Nicholas Croce, Software Engineering Manager

Nicholas Croce doesn’t simply spend his days guiding his team’s efforts to develop systems that are scalable and dynamic. He also supports his direct reports by setting goals, celebrating wins, offering actionable feedback and enabling them to lead important projects. Croce said this focus on growth is reflected across the engineering culture. Besides engaging in courses and conferences, developers take part in knowledge-transfer sessions, workshops and cross-functional hackathons. “Rokt does a great job of prioritizing experimentation and development,” Croce said.

Keith Williams

The greatest element of the engineering culture is tied to my favorite Rokt value: ‘Smart with Humility.’

Keith Williams, Engineering Lead

According to Keith Williams, being an engineer at Rokt requires competency and collaboration. By leveraging Go and React, his team is building the company’s Upsells marketplace, which merges advertising content with e-commerce sites in an effort to expand the amount of inventory retailers can offer to their customers. Williams added that a lack of egos is just as prevalent as intelligence on his team. “I regularly ask my colleagues questions that probably seem trivial to them, and I’m thankful that I’m always met with a willingness to explain rather than condescension,” he said.
