Develop and evaluate SLAM, localization, and mapping algorithms for autonomous last-mile delivery robots. The intern will integrate SLAM modules with hardware, benchmark state-of-the-art approaches, prototype novel methods, study computer vision and robotics literature, and validate algorithms using real-world robotic hardware and data.

Configure and improve autonomous robots’ internal networks, including VLANs, time synchronization, DHCP, and DNS. Ensure reliable ROS2/DDS, WebRTC, and MQTT traffic; characterize cellular, Wi-Fi, and satellite performance; troubleshoot connectivity using packet captures and logs; and maintain network diagrams, configuration baselines, and technical documentation. The intern will collaborate across hardware and software teams while supporting fleet monitoring and real-world robotic connectivity.

Perform robot setup, OS and firmware flashing, end-of-line testing, diagnostics, troubleshooting, software defect rework, and test documentation. Analyze logs and hardware alerts using debugging tools, submit fault reports, upload test data, and collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams. Manage inventory and tools for the Shanghai office while following work instructions and maintaining detailed records.

Provide hands-on mechanical support for robotic hardware assembly in Shanghai. Responsibilities include clarifying drawings and tolerances, troubleshooting shop-floor issues, conducting root-cause failure analysis, improving designs and processes, coordinating suppliers and contract manufacturers, issuing engineering change notices, supporting test rigs, and integrating peripheral hardware such as sensors, cameras, RC units, and cable harnesses.

As a Test Engineer, you'll design test setups, automate tests with Python, analyze data, and collaborate with engineers on mechanical and electronic components.

Support hardware engineering in designing, prototyping, and testing robotic components. Collaborate with senior engineers and create documentation for hardware specifications.

Own hardware-level functional safety for custom robot electronics. Design fault-tolerant circuits, redundant architectures, diagnostics, and safe-state mechanisms at schematic and PCB levels. Perform FMEDA, reliability block diagrams, SIL calculations, component derating, and common-cause failure mitigation. Review PCB layouts, advise system architects, document safety functions, and collaborate with firmware, mechanical, systems, and electronics teams.

As a Junior Mechanical Engineer, you will design, develop, and test robotic systems, collaborate on hardware integration, and optimize production processes.

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll define quality strategies, manage quality metrics, drive improvements, conduct inspections, and establish quality systems for Amazon RIVR's robotic production.

Lead the design, development, and testing of robotic systems, collaborating with engineers, improving design processes, and ensuring reliability in production.

Supports procurement and supply chain activities for robotics products, including procurement bill of materials maintenance, purchase order and material tracking, supplier contract and payment coordination, inventory updates, quality issue resolution, and supplier pool management. The role requires strong English communication, Microsoft Office proficiency, attention to detail, and cross-functional coordination. Manufacturing or hardware procurement, ERP or SAP familiarity, and supplier management experience are preferred.
