Job Description

As a Technical PM, you will be responsible for: 1) supply chain coordination of the electronic components and embedded systems of our robots,conduct technical review/QA directly with suppliers. 2) Testing, trouble shooting of power electronics, digital electronics (PCBA validation), firmware, communication protocols, and interfaces on robots. 3)Overseeing small-batch production timeline and quality management with suppliers. 4)Functional calibration and test bench development and set up. 5)Collaborating closely with both the supply chain & manufacturing team in Shanghai and the engineering team in Zurich, you will contribute to ensuring the reliable integration and high performance of the electronic systems in our robots.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment and has a proven track record of bringing electromechanical systems from prototype to production, with a strong focus on quality and supply chain efficiency.

What you’ll be doing

  • Independent supply chain coordination of the electronic components and embedded systems of our robots,conduct technical review/QA directly with suppliers. 

  • Independent Testing and trouble shooting of power electronics, digital electronics (PCBA validation), firmware, communication protocols, and interfaces on robots.

  • Functional calibration and test bench development and set up. 

  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration of electronics into mechanical assemblies.

  • Identify, evaluate, select, and manage suppliers for electrical components and subassemblies.

  • Work closely with suppliers for the transfer of designs and technical documentation.

  • Perform thorough testing and troubleshooting of electronic and embedded systems.

  • Support continuous improvement cycles across assembly, testing, and deployment phases.

  • Document processes, test results, and improvements to ensure traceability and knowledge sharing.

  • Coordinate with the Zurich R&D team and local suppliers to implement design updates quickly and reliably.

  • Support design improvements and iteration in the context of manufacturability.

What you must have

  • Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Embedded Systems.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical system development, testing, and low-volume manufacturing.

  • Experience in setting up functional benches for electronic components. 

  • Generate test bench’s test script and test plan. 

  • Experience in the testing, and integration of PCBAs for embedded or robotic systems.

  • Strong trouble-shooting skills for embedded hardware and firmware.

  • Familiarity with power distribution, motor controllers, sensors, and communication protocols (CAN, UART, SPI, I2C, etc.).

  • Familiarity with ROS, embedded Linux, or microcontroller platforms (e.g., STM32, ESP32, etc.).

  • Familiarity with AI tools that lift work productivity. 

  • Proven track record of working with external suppliers. 

  • Experience with quality control and validation of electrical components and assemblies.

  • Strong adaptability and comfort with frequent iteration and evolving designs.

  • Strong communication skill and ability to work in a dynamic team environment. 

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English to effectively navigate local and international interactions
