Analyzes commercial property insurance rates and results, performs pricing and reserving, monitors rate changes, and automates actuarial and data-related tasks through programming. The Actuary shares insights with executives and underwriters, supports internal tools and products cross-functionally, and responds to ad hoc business requests. The role requires property and casualty actuarial experience, ACAS designation or near completion, and strong analytical and communication skills.

The Senior Actuary will perform pricing, reserving, rate monitoring, and profitability analyses primarily for Commercial Property insurance. The role requires actuarial forecasting, automation of data-related tasks using programming, executive reporting, cross-functional product and tool development, and ad hoc support for business leaders. The position reports to the Chief Actuarial Officer and requires substantial property and casualty actuarial expertise, including FCAS designation and 7+ years of experience.

Investigate, evaluate, and settle commercial general liability claims by reviewing coverage, liability, and damages; write coverage and liability position letters; interview claimants, witnesses, and other parties; negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys; and maintain accurate notes, records, and files. Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure enterprise software. Mentor junior engineers, perform code reviews, troubleshoot issues, work with QA and Cloud teams, and improve development processes and tooling.

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data products and MLOps infrastructure. Build and fine-tune ML and deep learning models (including LLMs, NLP, and vision-language), monitor model performance, ensure data security and compliance, collaborate with cross-functional teams, document pipelines, and introduce improvements and new tools.
