Leads large-scale quantum and advanced technology programs from initial R&D through engineering development, prototyping, integration, validation, and delivery. Coordinates multidisciplinary teams across quantum physics, photonics, semiconductors, electronics, hardware, software, and algorithms. Owns program planning, governance, budgets, risks, dependencies, stakeholder coordination, contractual deliverables, and executive reporting across international internal and external partners.

Own revenue operations for a complex B2B quantum-computing business. Responsibilities include sales forecasting, pipeline reviews, commercial planning, KPI reporting, deal desk coordination, contract support, CRM ownership, process design, sales governance, and executive reporting. The role partners with Sales, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Partnerships, and Business Development to improve commercial visibility, predictability, and scalability.

Develop, optimize, stabilize, and industrialize quantum-dot positioning and laser lithography processes for photonic semiconductor devices. The role bridges advanced R&D and production through process qualification, equipment validation, yield improvement, SPC, DoE, PFMEA, root-cause analysis, documentation, and operator training. Responsibilities also include Python-based GUI and automation development, optical and electronic system work, cleanroom support, data analysis, and transferring scalable, repeatable fabrication processes into manufacturing.

Build Quandela’s procurement function from the ground up, owning direct procurement for electronics, microelectronics, and equipment. Establish supplier contracts and panels, define procurement processes and specifications, manage supplier performance and risks, develop forecasts and strategic plans, and ensure export-control compliance. Partner closely with engineering, production, finance, and legal teams while translating technical requirements into sourcing strategies.

Prototype, align, characterize, stabilize, and integrate free-space and fibered quantum optics modules into photonic quantum processing units. The role involves improving loss, fidelity, noise, and drift performance; developing Python tools for acquisition, calibration, and analysis; documenting procedures and test plans; and collaborating across optics, electronics, semiconductor, and software teams to transition laboratory experiments into reliable operational hardware.

Develop, optimize, stabilize, and industrialize semiconductor fabrication processes, especially dry etching, PECVD, and metal evaporation. Transfer processes from R&D to production, qualify equipment, improve yield and throughput, perform root-cause analysis, establish process controls, analyze fabrication data, document procedures, and support cleanroom operators and production teams.

Develop and optimize quantum-dot positioning and laser lithography processes for single-photon sources. The role combines optical experimentation, semiconductor fabrication, Python automation, process characterization, equipment support, data analysis, and R&D-to-production transfer. Responsibilities include defining process windows, improving repeatability, qualifying scalable manufacturing processes, troubleshooting equipment and process deviations, documenting results, and collaborating with R&D, production, suppliers, cleanroom operators, and fabrication teams.

Support the CTO and CSO by coordinating technical and scientific strategy across research, product, and engineering. Track major initiatives, milestones, dependencies, and risks; prepare strategic briefings and leadership reviews; improve organizational processes and communication; facilitate cross-team execution; and lead strategic projects that help scale the technical organization.

Characterize fabricated photonic integrated circuits through optical and electrical die-level measurements. Operate and maintain laboratory setups, ensure calibration and traceability, analyze device performance, troubleshoot experiments, and develop Python automation and data-analysis scripts. Improve qualification workflows, documentation, reproducibility, and statistical monitoring across fabrication batches. Collaborate with simulation, design, packaging, and cryogenic teams to support device selection and scalable quantum hardware integration.

Design and simulate photonic integrated circuit components, including waveguides, interferometers, beam splitters, phase shifters, and reconfigurable elements. Translate simulations into manufacturable GDS layouts, prepare foundry tape-outs, analyze characterization data, and refine designs based on fabrication feedback. The role also contributes to design-for-manufacturing methodologies, high-speed photonic integrations, and scalable quantum processor architectures.

Lead foundational IT systems across Quandela’s headquarters and international subsidiaries. Responsibilities include user and device support, identity and network administration, cloud and application management, subsidiary onboarding, vendor coordination, IT governance, security hardening, monitoring, sovereign-cloud migrations, and responsible AI adoption. The role combines technical leadership, hands-on contribution, cybersecurity improvement, business-process partnership, and consistent international IT service delivery.

Develop and evaluate classical, quantum, and hybrid machine-learning methods for quantum computing. Responsibilities include designing models, improving quantum-system calibration and control, benchmarking methods, contributing to the MerLin framework, publishing research, presenting findings, collaborating with academic and multidisciplinary teams, and mentoring junior researchers.

Perform hands-on optical characterization of single-photon sources in cavities, optimize excitation and pulse shaping, measure KPIs (lifetime, indistinguishability, brightness, purity, spin), automate instrumentation and data processing with Python, work with cryogenics/vacuum and collaborate with fabrication and production teams to improve procedures and reproducibility.
