Seasonal grades person supporting excavation crews by reading drawings, grade stakes, and survey markings; taking measurements; directing cut and fill operations; guiding equipment operators around utilities; setting barricades and signs; assisting with inspections and maintenance; and maintaining safe, productive work practices. Install underground sanitary and storm sewer pipes and precast structures. Responsibilities include using pipe lasers and transits, placing bedding, securing pipe, adjusting plans for ground conditions, applying shoring and safe excavation practices, setting structure elevations, operating small equipment, assisting with rigging, and maintaining equipment. Work is physically demanding, outdoors in all weather, and may include overtime and weekends.
