The role also supervises payroll staff, develops internal controls, and supports employee questions regarding benefits, retirement, leave, and claims.

Responsibilities include maintaining ground control plans, conducting geotechnical investigations and risk assessments, supporting mine design and scheduling, numerical modelling, QA/QC of ground support, microseismic monitoring, stope and pillar performance assessment, incident investigations, cemented rockfill optimization, and mentoring junior personnel.

Leads day-to-day HR service delivery at a fly-in/fly-out mining operation. Advises leaders on employee relations, policy interpretation, conflict resolution, performance and attendance management, accommodations, investigations, compliance, engagement, and workforce culture. Provides leadership and workload coordination for HR Business Partners and Generalists while supporting an inclusive, compliant, and high-performing workplace.

Supervise the Electrical Maintenance department at an underground mine, overseeing daily preventative maintenance, repairs, construction installations, staff and contractors. Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, licensing requirements, quality systems, and operational targets. Coordinate resources with planning, support surface construction projects, develop personnel, communicate shift reports, and identify and address health and safety risks.

Provides advanced metallurgical guidance for a gold heap leach project, optimizing recovery, throughput, leach performance, reagent consumption, and plant efficiency. Responsibilities include metallurgical balancing, modeling, process control, technical reporting, process-upset investigations, commissioning support, metallurgical accounting, laboratory QA/QC, test work, and technology evaluation. The role supports operations and maintenance teams, guides laboratory and plant personnel, and collaborates with vendors, consultants, and contractors.

Provide on-site field oversight of construction for process plants, heap leach pads, solution systems and ancillary facilities. Monitor contractor performance, verify work against engineering designs and quality standards, document daily progress and quantities, process change orders, manage submittal/RFI logs, ensure MSHA and cyanide containment compliance, support safety/environmental inspections, and coordinate equipment readiness and training during transitions.
