Administer employee benefits and biweekly payroll for mine-site, shift, salaried, and remote employees. Responsibilities include managing benefit plans, open enrollment, claims, leave and disability programs, payroll accuracy, timekeeping, reconciliations, compliance, audits, reporting, and employee education. The role also supervises payroll staff, develops internal controls, and supports employee questions regarding benefits, retirement, leave, and claims.

Supervise underground mine service, hoist, and crushing crews while managing safety, staffing, scheduling, training, equipment, contractors, and production priorities. Coordinate mining activities, blast initiation, gas clearances, and equipment relief. Conduct safety meetings, employee coaching, performance assessments, and compliance activities while ensuring work follows mine procedures, legislation, and performance expectations.

Provides technical rock mechanics and ground control leadership for an underground gold mine. Responsibilities include maintaining ground control plans, conducting geotechnical investigations and risk assessments, supporting mine design and scheduling, numerical modelling, QA/QC of ground support, microseismic monitoring, stope and pillar performance assessment, incident investigations, cemented rockfill optimization, and mentoring junior personnel.
