Define system contracts, technical requirements, degradation modes, and validation scenarios while remaining hands-on in critical code. Set technical direction, lead hiring, and mentor the autonomy engineering team.

Build and own the autonomy runtime for autonomous maritime vessels, including ROS2 architecture, C++ modules, lifecycle management, state handling, fault recovery, vehicle interfaces, deployment, CI, observability, simulation, and embedded performance. Integrate with vessel platforms, support bring-up and sea trials, debug field issues, and ensure reliable operation under real-time and degraded conditions.

Provide Tier 2 technical support for systems installed on customer vessels. Troubleshoot hardware, software, Linux systems, networks, VSAT connectivity, firewalls, VPNs, and marine equipment integrations. Support remote installations, coordinate with onboard engineers and vessel crews, visit Singapore ports two to three times weekly, document technical findings, escalate complex issues, and participate in on-call support.

The AI Software Engineer will optimize computer vision pipelines for edge systems, ensuring performance and reliability while processing real-time maritime video streams.

Lead market expansion into defense and government sectors across Europe and ROW. Own end-to-end capture and closing of complex government and defense contracts, build strategic partnerships, identify and penetrate new DoD/federal market segments, and translate government requirements into actionable product feedback for engineering and product teams.

Manage day-to-day operational activities across customers and internal teams: coordinate deployments and field work, track installations and requests, escalate and remove blockers, maintain documentation and reports, support customer communication and technical troubleshooting, and improve operational processes.
