Build and operate backend services, APIs, event-driven systems, and automation in Python on Azure for an AI-powered managed security platform. Own solutions from design through production, including testing, observability, incident response, reliability, security, and CI/CD. Collaborate with Product and Security Operations, make architectural decisions, use AI coding tools responsibly, review code and designs, mentor colleagues, and help improve engineering practices.

Serve as the technical win leader for complex cybersecurity sales engagements across Austria and the DACH region. Assess customer security needs, lead workshops and architecture sessions, demonstrate MXDR capabilities, translate Microsoft security tools into business value, manage RFP responses, challenge legacy approaches, and ensure successful customer handoffs. The role requires strong cybersecurity expertise, customer-facing technical experience, native German, fluent English, and travel for customer engagements and events.

Monitor and investigate threats in a Cyber Defense Center, performing end-to-end security investigations across identity, endpoint, network, and cloud environments. Support process development, collaborate with security teams on continuous improvement and automation, and participate in a global follow-the-sun support model with on-call coverage, including off-hours and public holidays.

Build and maintain automated tests for frontend, backend, API, microservices, Azure, and event-driven workflows using Playwright, TypeScript, or C#. Coordinate release readiness, combine automated and exploratory testing, improve QA processes, and collaborate with developers and stakeholders to scale quality efficiently.

Develop and maintain cloud-native applications and integrations on Azure using .NET, Power Platform, and related services. Design scalable, fault-tolerant architectures, REST APIs, event-driven microservices, automation pipelines, monitoring, and observability solutions. Collaborate with cybersecurity and detection engineering teams to improve SOAR capabilities using Microsoft security products. Perform code reviews, resolve escalated incidents, support on-call operations, and contribute to API governance, security, and platform reliability.

Advise CISOs and security leaders, assess security postures, conduct workshops, deliver Microsoft security demonstrations, shape architectures, defend RFPs, and connect Defender and Sentinel capabilities to business outcomes. The role also supports partners, collaborates with sales and delivery teams, and ensures successful customer handovers.

Act as a trusted security advisor for customers across onboarding and service lifecycle. Provide expert guidance on Microsoft security stack (Azure, Sentinel, Defender), translate complex security concepts into actionable recommendations, identify risks, and improve security posture. Build customer relationships, proactively recommend improvements, and stay current on attacker tradecraft and best practices to maximize value from Ontinue's MXDR platform.
