The role includes customer performance calls, documentation, escalation support, mentoring junior database engineers, monitoring with PMM, Prometheus, and Grafana, and maintaining operational processes. This is a full-time, office-based position in Bangalore.

Manage and optimize production PostgreSQL environments for performance, stability, scalability, and high availability. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, query optimization, backups, recovery, replication, failover, upgrades, patching, migrations, monitoring, and cloud database management. The role collaborates with DevOps and cloud teams, designs and implements client solutions, provides customer-facing technical delivery, and mentors junior engineers.

Generate leads, identify business opportunities, engage prospects through calls and emails, maintain client relationships, handle queries, and support senior sales staff. The role collaborates with sales and marketing teams on proposals and presentations, communicates the value of database services, follows up with potential clients, and applies sales techniques to meet targets.

Develop scalable backend applications using Python and Go, write maintainable code, troubleshoot and debug issues, participate in unit testing and code reviews, and collaborate with DevOps on production deployments. The role also involves working with cross-functional teams, learning backend technologies, and contributing to reliable software solutions. Familiarity with backend frameworks, relational and NoSQL databases, Git, APIs, containerization, cloud platforms, and frontend technologies is relevant.

Designs and manages scalable AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation using GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Ansible. Deploys containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes, monitors systems with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK, and develops automation scripts. The role also involves troubleshooting, cloud security, backups, disaster recovery, documentation, and collaboration with development and database teams to improve reliability and operational efficiency.

Support the database operations team by executing SQL commands, managing database users, performing backups, scheduling jobs, and optimizing queries.
