The Senior Electrical Engineer will develop processes to support the electric grid, analyze system conditions, and design future processes for MISO.

Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery plans; run DR exercises and tabletop tests; monitor DR tools; define recovery objectives with stakeholders; document lessons learned; support business continuity and NERC CIP-009 compliance improvements.

Lead strategic generation planning to evaluate impacts of inverter-based resources, DERs, electrification, and extreme weather on resource adequacy and reliability. Identify methodology gaps, develop long-term planning recommendations and roadmaps, integrate technical/economic/regulatory factors, and translate findings for executive decision-making.

The role involves modeling energy systems, ensuring compliance with NERC and FERC requirements, and coordinating with various stakeholders on complex engineering projects.

Support and improve market and transmission settlement processes; verify, code, and process invoices; manage travel and expense reimbursements; issue year-end tax documents to suppliers; identify procedural and software improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness while ensuring policy compliance.

Lead EMS modernization projects supporting control-room operations. Advise on market and reliability initiatives, develop EMS roadmaps, synchrophasor strategy, visualization and simulation capabilities, and mentor junior engineers to maintain bulk power system reliability.

Assess long-term regulatory, economic, and industry trends affecting generation and transmission. Analyze grid reliability and adequacy using engineering and economic tools, model gas-electric interdependencies, produce reports and presentations, collaborate cross-functionally, and engage regulators and industry partners to inform planning and policy.

The Principal AI Engineer will design and deploy AI-driven solutions, integrate AI into data processing pipelines, and drive market insights using advanced AI techniques. Responsibilities include building scalable infrastructure, developing LLM solutions, and partnering with multi-disciplinary teams.

Lead large, complex technical projects from planning through delivery: manage scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and change. Design, implement, and support enterprise network architectures focusing on Cisco routing, Palo Alto firewalls, F5, and security.
