90-day technical internship focused on designing, documenting, and testing a Secure SDLC and agentic DevSecOps workflows. The intern will work with GitHub repositories, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, security checks, AI-assisted coding tools, threat modeling, traceability controls, and human-in-the-loop approvals. They will help create proof-of-concept workflows, templates, diagrams, and reference implementations while collaborating with software engineering, security, architecture, platform, and AI teams.

Responsibilities include testing tools and integrations, validating configurations, troubleshooting incidents, analyzing usage metrics, creating test plans and operational documentation, assisting with change and release activities, and exploring scripting and automation improvements. The intern will gain experience with cloud technologies, APIs, identity and permissions, service management, monitoring, and operational engineering in a large healthcare enterprise.

Perform HLA antigen testing, antibody screening, and flow cytometric crossmatching on blood, tissue, and cultured cells to support solid organ and stem cell transplant evaluations. Accurately perform and report laboratory tests, interpret age-specific patient data, and communicate results to transplant teams to inform diagnosis and treatment.

Lead design, development, and support of enterprise integrations using Boomi for UKG, Oracle ERP, and other systems. Define integration architecture, implement REST/SOAP/SFTP/event-driven patterns, develop data transformations, troubleshoot production issues, mentor engineers, and drive DevOps and operational excellence within a SAFe Agile environment.

Coordinate minimal-risk clinical research protocols under PI/supervisor direction. Screen, enroll, and recruit participants; schedule and monitor study activities; collect and enter data; identify and report adverse events and protocol deviations; perform regulatory and administrative duties; assist with protocol development, IRB submissions, and site communications. Some travel required.

Performs complex diagnostic and therapeutic laboratory testing while maintaining bench competency for at least half of working time. Independently interprets results, troubleshoots testing issues, supports instrument correlation and method validation, and participates in quality assurance and performance improvement. Provides technical leadership, staff training, procedure updates, standardization, and problem resolution. The role requires a relevant laboratory or health sciences degree, at least one year of moderate- or high-complexity clinical laboratory experience, and may include weekend or overtime work.

Provides administrative and clerical support, including correspondence transcription, calendar and meeting scheduling, travel arrangements, expense reimbursement, telephone coverage, database and spreadsheet maintenance, report preparation, meeting minutes, presentations, and electronic records management. Supports multiple individuals and departmental projects while managing high work volumes with confidentiality, accuracy, professionalism, and effective prioritization.

Produces high-quality mammography images meeting MQSA and Mayo Clinic standards. Operates various imaging equipment, follows patient and workplace safety guidelines, communicates effectively with the care team, and works flexible shifts across locations, including evenings and weekends. Maintains mammography certification and may train in breast ultrasound. Requires radiography education, ARRT(R) registration, mammography credentials, CPR/BLS certification, and ongoing documentation.

Provide technical direction for laboratory operations, maintain and troubleshoot instruments and assays, validate and document operational changes via TLCP, direct workflow, serve as expert resource for technologists, and complete assigned projects. Works 100% on-site with rotating shifts (Tuesday–Saturday).

Supervises Mayo Clinic’s digital patient support team, overseeing technical and navigational assistance for patient portal users. Resolves complex application issues, supports configuration, testing, training, and implementation, and partners with clinical, technical, and operational teams. Manages staffing, scheduling, performance, expenses, metrics, and process improvement while supporting digital health initiatives and efficient clinical operations.

Reviews inpatient and outpatient records to identify documentation gaps, validate medical necessity and coding accuracy, and support accurate severity and risk representation. Collaborates with physicians, coders, nurses, and case managers; conducts reviews, supports audits, educates clinical staff, and promotes regulatory, ethical, and documentation standards. The role is hybrid near Eau Claire and may require flexible evening and weekend hours.

Performs routine laboratory and imaging procedures to support research projects: prepares assays, cell/tissue culture and animal studies; operates and maintains microscopy equipment; collects, analyzes and presents data; assists with image analysis, manuscript preparation, and lab meetings under PI supervision.

Provide overnight remote teleradiology coverage and final interpretations for inpatient and emergency examinations, primarily CT, ultrasound, X-ray, and MRI. Interpret body, thoracic, musculoskeletal, and urgent neurological imaging. Participate in additional remote daytime and onsite weekday coverage, academic activities, committee work, education, and research. Maintain required medical licensure and collaborate with radiology and hospital teams.

Review and analyze patient records for compliance with federal, state, Joint Commission, and CMS standards. Coordinate with clinicians to complete documentation, ensure privacy and minimum-necessary access, and provide professional customer service to patients, providers, payers, and auditors. Use technology and Microsoft Office tools to perform work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Manage and index patient records to ensure documentation meets federal, state, JCAHO and CMS standards. Coordinate with clinicians to complete required elements, protect PHI, use Microsoft Office and other systems, and provide professional, confidential support to patients, providers, and external stakeholders.

Support AI and informatics consultants in data collection, management, archival, and analysis. Apply appropriate statistical and AI/ML methods under direction, collaborate on writing and data workflows, and use programming skills to manage and analyze data.

Provides administrative and clerical support for the Business Development Operations department. Responsibilities include correspondence, document processing, filing, data entry, inventory and meeting-room support, event assistance, phone coverage, and records management. The role also reviews and processes intellectual-property documents, manages electronic signatures, supports revenue workflows and banking transactions, and maintains database task queues while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Coordinates academic administration processes including appointments, applications, interviews, scheduling, orientation, committee support, and learner/faculty data maintenance. Interprets policies, supports accreditation requirements, schedules meetings, handles communications, trains users on technology systems, prepares reports, and provides administrative support to Academic Affairs. The role requires independent judgment, confidentiality, strong communication, organization, and flexibility in a hybrid Phoenix-area work environment.

Develops and programs interactive multimedia and eLearning content, including animation, video production, art direction, and graphic design. Builds LMS templates, authors courseware using Articulate/Adobe tools, writes and updates code (HTML/CSS/JS/XML/xAPI), maintains legacy content, performs QA, and supports deployment and content management while collaborating with teams to create engaging educational solutions.
