Manages full-ship charter partnerships from contract implementation through onboard execution. Serves as the primary client contact, coordinates cross-functional planning and customization, administers charter agreements, leads internal meetings, resolves complex issues, supports proposals, and represents the company during charter events. Builds long-term client relationships and supports repeat business while coordinating with shipboard teams, senior leaders, and operating units.

The Third Mate stands bridge and deck watches, navigates and pilots the vessel, conducts voyage planning, and supports docking and anchoring. The role manages safety familiarization, emergency drills, fire response, gangway watch, and small boat operations. Responsibilities also include kayak maintenance, waste management, pest management, safety documentation, inventory of safety data sheets, and crew access to the Safety Management System. The position works approximately 12 hours daily on a seven-weeks-on, seven-weeks-off rotational schedule.

The Chief Mate supervises the deck team and boatswain, manages navigation watches, docking, anchoring, small boat operations, vessel security, safety drills, maintenance, inspections, and medical response. The role acts as the Captain’s successor when needed, ensures compliance with maritime and safety regulations, maintains logs and preventive maintenance records, supports guest interactions, and oversees crew training and performance. The position follows a rotational schedule of approximately six weeks on and six weeks off, with 12-hour workdays.

Partners with the CEO and executive leadership team to translate strategy into execution, lead complex cross-functional initiatives, manage the enterprise operating cadence, prepare Board materials, support executive communications, and improve organizational effectiveness. Serves as a trusted advisor and enterprise resource, driving ambiguous, high-priority initiatives from analysis through measurable delivery while managing sensitive stakeholder relationships.

Lead finance systems strategy, governance, and transformation to modernize ERP, subledgers, reporting and integrations. Drive process optimization, automation, controls (ITGC/SOX) and enterprise implementations while partnering with IT and finance leaders to improve data flows, audit readiness, and user adoption.

As a Licensed Deckhand, you'll assist with ship operations including maintenance, boat operations, and safety drills while ensuring guest experiences during expeditions.

Serve as the expedition cultural expert for Newfoundland-focused voyages: deliver engaging presentations and briefings, lead and interpret shore and onboard activities, assist with boat and field operations, support guest experience and safety, and represent Lindblad on excursions. Work closely with Field Staff, capture expedition media, and participate in guest-facing duties in varied weather and physically demanding conditions.

Senior HR leader and strategic partner to the Executive Leadership Team responsible for people strategy across shoreside and shipboard operations. Leads organizational design, leadership development, succession planning, change management, employee relations, compensation and benefits strategy, HR operations and compliance, workforce planning and budgeting to support scalable growth and strong organizational culture. Hybrid role with periodic travel (~10%).

Serve as the onboard cultural and natural history expert for Germany-focused itineraries: deliver presentations, lead shore and on-board activities (hikes, boats, kayaks), provide guest interpretation and briefings, assist with field staff operations, safety and guest relations, and support conservation/sales messaging. Requires in-field Germany expertise, public speaking, and participation in physically demanding excursions.

Serve as a bridge officer conducting navigation and watchstanding, voyage planning, small-boat operations, safety drills, and administrative duties. Maintain navigation systems, perform chart corrections, prepare voyage plans, mentor crew, and ensure passenger and vessel safety on expedition itineraries.

Supports additional services for an expedition travel company. Role follows a hybrid schedule (in-office Tue–Thu) and requires strong English reading, writing, and verbal communication. Must reside within reasonable commuting distance of the designated office. Typical office physical duties include sitting, typing, speaking, and occasional standing or walking.

Lead design, budgeting, deployment, and execution of expedition voyages. Create itineraries, manage voyage P&Ls, ensure permitting compliance, train field staff, build partnerships, and optimize guest experiences while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The Naturalist focuses on Japan ornithology, leading educational programs, engaging guests, performing excursions, and supporting the team to enhance the guest experience on cruises.

Serve as the expedition's cultural expert for the Canadian Arctic: present lectures, lead shore and on-board interpretation, guide excursions (inflatable boats, hikes, kayaks), engage guests, assist field staff operations, support safety and conservation messaging, and help with guest-facing duties and logistics throughout voyages.

Serve as the vessel's Northwest Coast cultural and natural-history expert, delivering presentations, leading shore excursions and on-board interpretation, assisting with inflatable boat operations and guest relations, supporting safety drills and field staff tasks, and promoting company conservation and program initiatives.

Serve as the onboard historian specializing in Spain and France: deliver engaging presentations, lead shore excursions and educational hikes, provide in-field interpretation, assist with inflatable boat and other expedition operations, support guest experience duties, and participate in safety and conservation programs.

Multiple shipboard culinary roles (Head Chef, Sous, Pastry, Chef de Partie, Line Cook, Pantry Chef) operating on 8-week rotations. Responsibilities include meal production, buffet/action station setup, provisioning, inventory, sanitation under CDC/Health Canada rules, dishwashing, and emergency/safety duties. Work is physically demanding, in confined galley spaces, with long daily shifts and shared crew living quarters. Candidates must hold required maritime and safety certifications and pass background, drug, and medical screenings.

Serve as the on-board Japan cultural and natural history expert: create and deliver presentations, lead shore excursions and field interpretation, support guest experience and safety, assist with inflatable boat and expedition operations, and maintain field staff equipment and materials.

Lead and manage expedition field staff and guest activities for Alaska voyages, delivering presentations, coordinating daily operations and safety, running excursions (zodiacs, hiking, kayaking), handling guest relations, and liaising with ship officers and shoreside teams. Ensure risk management, maintain equipment, document voyage reports, and support conservation and promotional efforts.

Support trade marketing initiatives for travel advisors by executing co-op plans, coordinating trade events and webinars, managing trade-facing social content, tracking leads and budgets, reporting on campaign/event ROI, and providing administrative and cross-functional support.
