The role also documents designs and verification results and supports prototype-to-production transfer.

Supports compliant, compelling cost proposals for commercial and U.S. Government R&D solicitations. Collaborates with proposal managers, system managers, subject matter experts, contracts, quality, procurement, and other departments to prepare comprehensive cost proposals and government-compliant cost volumes. Requires strong attention to detail, organization, stakeholder relationship-building, proposal pricing expertise, and flexibility to meet government deadlines.

The Director of Product Marketing will lead the positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for the quantum computing portfolio, translating technical details into market stories and creating marketing assets for various stakeholders.

Responsibilities include coordinating multidisciplinary teams and resources, managing schedules, budgets, costs, risks, subcontractors, staffing, deliverables, and communications. The role supports proposals and contracts, develops project plans, tracks milestones, manages scope and change, engages technical leaders, contributes to forecasts and roadmaps, and represents the company to external stakeholders. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Leads company-wide FP&A, including annual planning, quarterly forecasting, long-range modeling, management and Board reporting, performance analysis, strategic finance, resource allocation, and cash planning. Partners with executives and business leaders to develop actionable financial insights, support capital allocation and M&A, improve forecasting processes, and establish scalable FP&A infrastructure for a growing public technology company.

Design, develop, and maintain quantum compilation software connecting quantum circuits, error-correction systems, and hardware control. Build interfaces, intermediate representations, validation and simulation tools, and circuit-to-control translations. Conduct research in fault-tolerant quantum computing, collaborate with physicists and control engineers, deploy software to a cloud platform, and contribute to testing, documentation, proposals, publications, and team mentorship.

Design, develop, test, and maintain integrations between quantum computing software and cloud, HPC, AI, scientific, and enterprise platforms. Build APIs, SDK integrations, plugins, workflow connectors, and hybrid quantum-classical workflows. Conduct quantum computing R&D, collaborate with physicists and software engineers across the quantum stack, support customers, contribute to proposals and global programs, publish research, present at conferences, and guide teammates.

Design and optimize quantum error-correcting codes and protocols for experimental gate-based quantum computers, especially neutral atom platforms. Develop mathematical models, numerical simulations, and custom decoders; analyze and mitigate quantum-system noise; and collaborate with physicists and software engineers on practical implementation. The role also involves publishing and presenting research, tracking advances in quantum error correction, supporting teammates, and contributing to productization efforts.

Lead global software development for quantum sensing products, serving as technical lead while building and productizing full-stack systems interfacing with embedded and quantum hardware. Develop React/Next.js frontends, Python FastAPI backends, and Rust middleware integrations. Establish engineering practices covering architecture, code reviews, testing, documentation, CI/CD, and sprint execution. Collaborate with embedded engineers and multidisciplinary teams to transition prototypes into production-ready systems.

Lead the UK integrated photonics capability, driving design, simulation, fabrication, testing, and packaging of silicon photonics PICs and integrated subsystems. Oversee technical project execution, mentor team members, coordinate with foundries and suppliers, characterise lasers and combs, identify commercialization opportunities, and present technical results to stakeholders.

Lead revenue recognition, contract accounting, and ASC 606 analyses for complex multi-element, milestone, government, and commercial contracts. Prepare technical accounting memos, maintain revenue schedules and waterfall reports, support monthly/quarterly close and SEC disclosures, assist PCAOB audits, and improve NetSuite revenue processes and SOX controls while partnering cross-functionally with legal, program management, FP&A, and contracts teams.

Lead systems engineering to transform quantum hardware prototypes into manufacturable products: capture requirements, develop system architectures, maintain systems documentation, perform modeling/simulation, plan and support AI&T and V&V, manage technical risks and reliability analysis, and drive cross-functional systems engineering best practices.

Provides administrative and operational HR support across the employee lifecycle. Coordinates preboarding, onboarding, orientations, I-9 and background checks, maintains employee and contractor records, supports workforce classifications and HR reporting, answers routine policy and benefits questions, reconciles invoices, administers referral bonuses, and assists with HR projects and process improvements while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

Lead systems engineering for a Quantum Gravity Gradiometer pathfinder: manage requirements, ICDs, V&V, integration and test, configuration/document control, risk and FMEA, architecture and SWaP tracking, and product lifecycle execution while enabling repeatable systems practices and customer-ready deliverables for government and commercial R&D programs.

Provide legal counsel for complex commercial and strategic transactions (70–80% focus); draft, negotiate, and manage customer, government, licensing, SaaS, vendor, and research agreements; advise on export controls, national security, and public company reporting; align contracts with finance on revenue recognition and disclosure; develop scalable legal playbooks, training, and approval frameworks; and support cross-functional corporate, regulatory, and governance matters within a lean legal team.

Supports financial reporting, operational accounting, budgeting, forecasting, dashboards, variance analysis, audits, grant accounting, and financial systems improvements. Partners with R&D and Operations teams to maintain budget alignment and scalable processes. Leads pricing analysis for government bids and new contracts. The role is based between the Oxford office and Harwell’s National Quantum Computing Centre, with up to 10% travel and limited work-from-home flexibility.

Develop time series forecasting, anomaly detection, and predictive maintenance models for quantum sensor systems. Analyze large-scale telemetry data, integrate machine learning models into live systems, evaluate deployed performance, and build continuous refinement pipelines. The role requires production-quality Python development, applied mathematics and physics expertise, and collaboration across product and engineering teams. Familiarity with quantum physics, MLOps, real-time data pipelines, cloud platforms, control theory, and lower-level programming is desirable.
