Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or a related technical field; equivalent relevant experience considered.
· 8+ years of supplier quality, quality engineering, manufacturing quality, or supplier-development experience.
· Experience supporting Government or defense contracts and working with contract quality requirements under FAR Part 46; DFARS experience preferred where applicable.
· Demonstrated ability to qualify, assess, and monitor suppliers based on quality-system capability, technical competence, capacity, delivery performance, and risk.
· Experience conducting supplier audits, including quality-management-system, process, product, and special-process audits.
· Working knowledge of quality-management systems such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or other standards relevant to the organization’s industry.
· Proficiency interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, bills of material, inspection plans, test requirements, and configuration-control requirements.
· Experience with nonconformance management, material review, root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive action (CAPA), and supplier corrective action requests (SCARs).
· Ability to develop and review quality plans, first-article inspection packages, inspection/test records, certificates of conformance, and traceability documentation.
· Experience applying quality tools such as 5 Why, fishbone analysis, FMEA, control plans, process capability, statistical process control, and risk-based thinking.
· Strong documentation discipline and ability to maintain objective quality evidence that is complete, accurate, traceable, and ready for customer or Government review.
· Effective communication and collaboration skills with suppliers, procurement, engineering, manufacturing, program management, and customers.

Preferred qualifications:
· ASQ certification, such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP), or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).
· Experience with DCMA, source inspection, Government quality assurance surveillance, customer audits, or audit-response activities.
· Experience with counterfeit-part prevention, product traceability, lot control, serialization, and supplier flowdown requirements.
· Familiarity with first article inspection requirements, including AS9102.
· Knowledge of ERP, quality-management-system, and supplier-performance-management tools.
