Seeking a senior software engineer to design and build Java/JEE enterprise applications using Spring, persistence frameworks (EJB/JPA/Hibernate), SOAP/REST web services, messaging (JMS), NoSQL databases, and cloud/distributed processing technologies. Contract position in Chicago requiring strong distributed architecture experience; Hadoop/Spark experience preferred.

Design, implement and manage enterprise PKI and cryptography solutions; lead and coordinate risk and compliance assessments (PCI, HIPAA, SOX); integrate PKI with applications (SSL/TLS, S/MIME, IPsec); manage audits, document processes, create technical solution and project plans, track risks/remediation, and coordinate with architecture, program managers, auditors and stakeholders.

Provide advanced Unix/Linux system administration and operational support for virtualized and physical servers (Solaris and RedHat). Manage capacity, performance, backups, DR testing, VMware virtualization, storage (NAS/SAN, LVM/SVM, ZFS/UFS), patching and boot processes (PXE, Grub, Kickstart). Troubleshoot hardware/software, follow change management, support audits/compliance, and participate in on-call and cross-site team activities.

Tune and optimize Adobe ES4 on WebSphere, integrate J2EE applications with Adobe ES4, improve software performance, participate in design/coding/testing, document best practices, and collaborate with product and engineering teams. Uses Linux, Git, and MySQL.

Lead a QA team to plan, design, and execute automated and manual tests across multiple insurance software programs. Create QA plans, manage test strategies, oversee defect management, coordinate UAT with business and vendors, report metrics, and mitigate testing risks while ensuring requirements coverage and vendor deliverable validation.

Design, develop, and maintain SailPoint identity governance solutions and workflows. Implement Java/J2EE integrations, configure AD/LDAP provisioning, define entities and group management, build and schedule CIA jobs, and collaborate within Agile teams while communicating with stakeholders.

Develop and execute performance, scalability, and fault-tolerance tests; create automated performance test plans and tooling; configure and run performance tools; analyze results and root causes; recommend tuning and corrective actions; deploy J2EE apps; mentor testers; produce test metrics and summary reports.

Lead and manage enterprise backup environment using CommVault and other backup technologies. Install, configure, and troubleshoot backups (CLI/GUI), perform migrations (NBU/TSM to CommVault), administer storage nodes, VTLs and tape libraries, and support backups for Exchange, SQL, Oracle, SAP, SharePoint and virtual platforms using VCB/VADP/Hyper-V. Provide scripting support and Unix/Windows administration for backup operations, and drive transition and due-diligence projects.

Design, implement, and troubleshoot Cisco and Shoretel voice networks and VoIP protocols. Provide L3 support, manage an L2 delivery team, handle escalations, perform root-cause and trend analysis, plan upgrades and disaster recovery, maintain network diagrams, coordinate with third-party providers, and participate in on-call rotation and operational meetings.

Design, implement and support enterprise VMware infrastructure for a corporate campus and field locations. Define standards, collaborate with networking, storage, OS, desktop and application teams, perform capacity management, tuning, troubleshooting, and automation using vSphere/vCenter tooling. Support virtualization, backup, and desktop virtualization solutions and coordinate with vendors and operations teams.

Develop, maintain, and test enterprise web applications using ASP.NET and Microsoft SQL Server. Design relational databases and T-SQL queries, write front-end HTML/CSS/JavaScript, collaborate with teams, and support full project lifecycle and existing websites.

Develop and maintain .NET applications using C# and ASP.NET. Support legacy VB Classic code. Work with SSIS and SQL Server for data integration. Maintain Windows Server environments, have basic Unix familiarity, and communicate with business users to gather requirements.

Enable and implement Okta Single Sign-On for interfacing applications as an independent contributor. Coordinate with third-party vendors and communicate status clearly. Work independently to integrate and troubleshoot SSO connections.

Develop and maintain .NET applications using C# and ASP.NET. Work with SQL Server and SSIS for data integration. Support legacy VB (Classic) code, manage Windows Server environments, and liaise with business users. Basic Unix familiarity required.

Elicit, analyze, validate and manage stakeholder and end-user requirements for systems integration. Serve as liaison between business and IT, define data and information flows, and guide SDLC decisions to maximize efficiency and business value.

Manage GRC tasks and audits, design/implement and operate enterprise PKI solutions, prepare technical solution/design documents and project plans, validate BOM/BOQ, coordinate with architecture and external auditors, and document risks, issues, mitigations and dependencies.

Lead IT projects from planning through delivery for manufacturing initiatives. Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules; manage scope, risks, issues, and communications; facilitate meetings and stakeholder alignment; oversee training, deliverables, and USG project requirements; monitor actuals and forecasts; ensure quality and process improvements while driving teams to meet on-time, on-budget outcomes.

Develop and modify code for Oracle eBill 6.0.4 B2C integrated with Oracle CC&B. Provide project and production support, and update eBill batch jobs to process customer payments for CC&B.

Manage and lead enterprise backup environment: install, configure, and troubleshoot CommVault and other backup technologies; execute migrations (e.g., NBU/TSM to CommVault); perform scripting for Windows/Unix backups; administer storage nodes, VTLs/tape libraries, and application-specific backup modules (Exchange, SQL, Oracle, SAP, SharePoint); support CLI/GUI operations and transition/due-diligence projects.

Provide Level 2 desktop support across multiple client sites (Oakbrook/Naperville). Troubleshoot Windows 7 systems, VPN, network issues, smartphones (iOS/Android), printing, and applications. Work under general supervision, may travel locally, report to project lead, and require reliable transportation.
