Develop and support machine vision systems that automate manufacturing, improve product quality, and reduce costs. Responsibilities include specifying imaging hardware and lighting, developing and debugging computer vision algorithms, upgrading production systems, qualifying prototype and production solutions, documenting system functionality, analyzing performance data, and supporting vision-system downtime resolution. The role collaborates with cross-functional engineering teams and is performed onsite.

Designs, develops, troubleshoots, calibrates, and documents measurement systems, particularly optical spectroscopy equipment. Supports manufacturing downtime resolution, prototypes new systems, gathers hardware requirements, and collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, and research teams. Requires engineering fundamentals, optics knowledge, analytical problem-solving, communication skills, and Microsoft Office proficiency. Preferred experience includes measurement system analysis, design of experiments, color science, optical metrology, prototyping, electronics, mechanical concepts, laboratory or manufacturing environments, and programming.

Translate regulatory, customer, and stakeholder inputs into clear engineering requirements for complex systems. Analyze software issues, report and track defects, review technical documentation and requirements, participate in design and project reviews, and provide technical input to cross-functional engineering, validation, and manufacturing teams. The role requires secure wireless, embedded systems, and Bluetooth networking knowledge, with 10% travel throughout the United States.

Oversee product chemical and environmental compliance with global regulations (e.g., TSCA, REACH, RoHS); maintain compliance tools (IMDS, CDX, Assent); advise legal, engineering, and program teams; support regulatory surveys and inquiries; analyze ECOs for compliance; maintain standards and customer specifications; perform ad-hoc compliance tasks.

Lead cross-functional teams to manage product development programs and engineering changes, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, quality, and customer communication for on-site manufacturing programs.

Leads engineering product development projects across mechanical, hardware, software, and systems disciplines. Coordinates requirements, technical specifications, schedules, dependencies, vendors, OEMs, customers, and cross-functional teams. Supports electronic component selection, supplier evaluation, database maintenance, lifecycle management, and quality processes. Collaborates with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to troubleshoot component issues, support product introductions, optimize designs, and manage changes such as PCNs, EOLs, VAVE, and allocation. Performs basic reliability and failure analyses, including MTBF, FTA, FMEA, and DRBFM, while ensuring technical, quality, cost, and timeline requirements are met.

Provide day-to-day legal advice within assigned practice areas; draft, review, and negotiate agreements and policies; support transactions, due diligence, and compliance; conduct legal research; develop templates and guidance; escalate issues to senior attorneys; collaborate cross-functionally and support Legal Department projects.

Perform FEA simulations and analyses to support mechanical product design. Build and run finite element models, document and communicate results, correlate with test data, maintain simulation databases, participate in design reviews, and improve simulation workflows.

Process high-volume invoices, verify against POs, support weekly payment runs, perform accruals and journal entries, research discrepancies, monitor freight charges, ensure policy compliance, and mentor new AP team members.

The role involves developing image signal processing pipelines, conducting tests, collaborating with software teams, analyzing data, and improving image quality for Gentex's vision products.

Develop and test embedded software across the full lifecycle: requirements, architecture, design, implementation, unit/integration tests, verification and validation. Collaborate with hardware and cross-functional teams to bring up cameras, SoCs, sensors and device drivers. Participate in code reviews, mentoring, process improvement and software compliance.

Serve as the Technical DRI for customer programs, lead cross-functional technical communications, drive issue resolution, perform R&D and lab testing, develop materials/devices/processes, work with suppliers, manage projects, document experimental data, and coordinate assembly and testing to meet product requirements.

Provide transactional and administrative customer support: handle inquiries via phone/chat/email/text, create and update support cases, process warranty and non‑warranty orders and exchanges, coordinate shipping and order issues, assist with website sales inquiries, and support departmental process improvements.

Manage assigned accounts and support corporate sales goals for Gentex products. Develop global sales strategies, prepare quotations and presentations, negotiate commercial terms, build customer relationships, support product development and trade shows, coordinate internal stakeholders, and represent customer needs to internal teams.
