Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot electronic systems for high-precision gemological instruments. Responsibilities include schematic and PCB development, component selection, documentation, prototype debugging, production transition, sustaining engineering, vendor coordination, cross-functional integration, safety and quality compliance, and continuous improvement. The role requires hands-on laboratory work and collaboration with mechanical, software, and optical engineering teams.

Leads executive, internal, and external corporate communications, advising senior leaders on messaging, media engagement, thought leadership, and crisis communications. Develops enterprise communication strategies, manages internal editorial programs, coordinates media relations, oversees public relations agencies, and supports reputation management. Partners across departments to align messaging with organizational priorities and brand standards. The role is hybrid in Carlsbad, California, with domestic travel under 20%.

The Metrologist develops and validates measurement methods, calibrates and maintains laboratory instrumentation, analyzes measurement data and uncertainty, and improves equipment reliability and quality systems. The role partners with Research and Development to implement new measurement technologies, troubleshoots complex instruments, maintains technical documentation, and supports laboratory operations across GIA locations. The position is onsite in Carlsbad, California, with domestic and international travel as needed.

Provide strategic and operational leadership for GIA's Online School, accountable for enrollment, retention, graduation, student experience, financial performance, academic technology, compliance, and cross-functional team leadership. Drive continuous improvement, quality assurance, LMS oversight, data-informed decision-making, budget management, talent development, and regulatory adherence to advance online education outcomes.

Provide strategic and operational leadership for a campus: ensure academic quality, drive enrollment and student success, manage budgets and KPIs, develop staff, ensure compliance, engage industry and community, and lead continuous improvement and emergency preparedness.
