Sets up and operates CNC Swiss machines for complex production and new parts with minimal supervision. Selects tooling, adjusts offsets and fixturing, monitors tool wear, inspects parts using precision gauges, troubleshoots machining issues, and supports first-article and NPI work. Provides DFM and programming feedback, meets production standards, deburrs parts, and supports Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives while following shop safety requirements.

The Quality Engineer analyzes quality trends and manufacturing data, identifies root causes, and leads corrective and preventive improvement projects. Responsibilities include developing PFMEAs, control plans, capability studies, PPAPs, and QMS documentation; conducting audits; coordinating customer and supplier quality activities; leading cross-functional teams; and resolving production, supplier, and customer-return nonconformances.

Develops process controls, manufacturing documentation, and process improvements. Provides sustaining engineering support on the manufacturing floor, assists with manufacturing methods, supports product improvement projects, reviews customer requirements, coordinates fixture design, prepares manufacturing plans and shop inspection reports, and supports customer CAD needs. The role requires progressive technical experience, relevant industry experience, problem-solving ability, initiative, ownership, and independent teamwork.

Performs deburring and finishing operations on machined parts using grinders, sanders, and hand tools. Reads drawings, routings, travelers, and finish specifications; maintains quality, productivity, documentation, housekeeping, and safety standards. Identifies and corrects problems, supports lean continuous improvement, operates required equipment, and complies with the Quality Management System. The role requires extensive standing, bending, lifting, and use of personal protective equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Set up and operate CNC lathes to machine complex parts with minimal supervision. Perform setups, tooling and offset changes, inspect parts to spec, support NPI/first-article processes, provide DFM feedback, monitor tooling wear, maintain production standards, and promote Lean/5S practices.

Operate and perform light setups on vertical CNC mills to produce parts to blueprint specifications. Program and optimize CNC jobs (G/M code), verify feeds/speeds, inspect parts, train operators, maintain quality and safety, and comply with ISO and OSHA requirements.

Lead and maintain quality systems and inspections; ensure ISO9001/ISO13485 and regulatory compliance; manage audits, customer quality, supplier monitoring, CAPA, SPC/Minitab, IQ/OQ/PQ, and continuous improvement; recruit and develop staff; implement metrics, budgeting, safety, and documentation to achieve customer acceptance and on-time delivery.

Create and revise CNC programs including tooling, fixtures, and setups; manage program distribution; work with tooling suppliers; develop tool test programs and manufacturing plans; optimize programs and fixtures to reduce cycle time; collaborate with QA on inspection points and documentation; may review lower-level programmers and perform other assigned duties.

Set up and operate CNC horizontal machining centers to produce parts to blueprint specifications. Perform medium-to-complex setups, tooling and fixture installation, G-code programming, inspection with precision instruments, troubleshoot process issues, support lean/continuous improvement, and maintain ISO and safety compliance on 2nd shift.

Create, revise, and control manufacturing documentation and standard work. Apply lean and Six Sigma to improve processes, perform time studies, process mapping, and support NPI. Liaise between engineering, programming, operators, and quality; maintain shop-floor program distribution and audit manufacturing data to ensure repeatability and quality.
