Description
SUMMARY
Responsible for the creation, revision, and control of manufacturing and standard work documentation. Applying lean and six sigma tools to eliminate waste, improve quality, and create continuous flow in all areas of manufacturing.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform time studies, process mapping, and lean reviews with manufacturing staff
- Develop, revise, and control manufacturing documentation such as setup sheets, programs, visual aids, and standard work
- Act as a liaison between engineering, programming, operators, and quality during new production introduction (NPI) and process improvement projects
- Develop implementation plans for horizontal implementation of improved manufacturing processes, and tooling implementation
- Works closely with operators to audit manufacturing documentation, machine programs and time standards to ensure data accuracy, process repeatability, and product quality is maintained
- Develop ability to utilize software as necessary to facilitate the management of Manufacturing Plans and machine programming
- Managing and maintaining program distribution and supporting documentation to the shop floor per company policy
- Must be a team player as measured by his/her peers
- Performs other related duties assigned
Requirements
REQUIRED
- High school graduate or GED
- Experienced with Cam software and Solid Works
- Multi-tasker with manufacturing engineering background and strong problem-solving skills
- Experienced lean and six sigma methodologies and tools
- Read and understand blueprints and G.D&T. (ASME Y14.5-2009 standard)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication skills and desire to work with the team

- Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required based on experience

Skills Required
