Provide technical assistance to develop and implement a sustainable school feeding program in Dire Dawa. Responsibilities include stakeholder engagement, government coordination, operational and policy framework development, monitoring and evaluation design, data governance, risk management, systems mapping, capacity building, and sustainability planning. The consultant will facilitate workshops, advise on Ethiopia’s political and institutional context, coordinate stakeholders, and produce work plans, progress reports, data governance recommendations, and a final assignment report.

Supports strategic internal consulting projects through analysis, research synthesis, presentations, dashboards, process improvements, stakeholder engagement, and change management. The role contributes to project tools, tracking systems, benchmarking, and knowledge management while helping cross-functional teams implement solutions that improve operations and support organizational growth.

Leads policy research on school feeding programs across Kenya and Africa. Designs qualitative and quantitative studies, analyzes policies and financing, produces policy briefs and reports, supports evidence-based advocacy, monitors implementation, and translates findings into actionable recommendations. The role also manages research portfolios, maintains knowledge repositories, builds partnerships with universities and think tanks, and contributes to policy strategy, stakeholder engagement, and systemic improvements in education, nutrition, and public health.

Supports food safety testing through sample collection, microbiological and routine chemical analysis of food, water, and surfaces. Maintains laboratory records, test reports, SOPs, equipment, inventory, and quality documentation. Performs calibration, housekeeping, proficiency testing, audits, and continuous improvement activities while following GLP and ISO 17025:2017 standards. The role requires travel across Kenya and collaboration with laboratory teams.

Cultivate US-based corporate and major donors, manage donor engagement and stewardship timelines, develop partnership opportunities and employee activations, create compelling proposals and impact materials, and represent Food4Education at relevant conferences. The role supports annual fundraising goals, manages communications for approximately 100 prospective and current donors, and works closely with the Head of US Philanthropy to recruit corporate partners and raise funds.

The Legal Manager will lead compliance, legal risk mitigation, contract drafting and negotiation, corporate governance, employment law advice, dispute resolution, legal research, and oversight of external counsel. The role partners across the organization to maintain regulatory compliance, manage legal matters from initiation through closure, and provide practical advice supporting Food4Education’s growth. The position is based onsite in Nairobi with occasional domestic travel.

Manage grant reporting and proposal development, including donor reports, concept notes, proposals, and follow-up communications. Coordinate information across internal teams, maintain grant contracts and records, support donor visits, research fundraising opportunities, and provide giving-data analysis. The role also improves development workflows, manages deadlines, and builds relationships with donors and organizational stakeholders.

Leads Food4Education’s communications function, overseeing internal and external communications, executive messaging, media relations, reputation management, issues preparedness, communications planning, governance, and agency relationships. The role translates organisational priorities into integrated communications, strengthens employee engagement and corporate reputation, advises senior leaders, manages communications KPIs, and leads a high-performing team supporting the organisation’s expansion across Africa.

Leads high-priority internal consulting engagements from scoping through execution and handover. Responsibilities include structuring ambiguous problems, conducting analyses, developing recommendations, managing internal client relationships, supporting pilots and growth initiatives, and coaching Associates and Analysts. The role also contributes organizational insights and helps build the Internal Consulting team’s standards and capabilities.

Own the IT Support function across offices, warehouses, kitchens, and field operations. Lead infrastructure reliability, enterprise networks, servers, hardware lifecycles, vendor management, support escalations, technology roadmaps, rollouts, automation, business continuity, security compliance, and team development. Partner cross-functionally to deliver scalable technology solutions, improve service quality, manage assets and procurement, and support organizational growth.

The Knowledge Management Specialist will establish organization-wide knowledge governance, taxonomy, document standards, and review processes. They will recruit and support departmental knowledge champions, implement and maintain a central knowledge repository or intranet, and partner with technology teams on rollout and adoption. The role will monitor usage analytics, gather feedback, improve content accessibility, and facilitate knowledge-sharing activities across the organization.
