Frequently Asked Questions

Cultural Alignment

FieldPulse has a collaborative, in-person culture built around helping service businesses grow and operate more smoothly. The company brings people together through an open office environment designed to encourage communication, regular all-hands meetings, company outings and happy hours, and a workspace that is comfortable, social and pet friendly. Daily meals, snacks and drinks, onsite parking and gym access, and generous paid time off reinforce a workplace that supports both connection and wellbeing.

The culture is also mission-driven and customer-focused. FieldPulse centers its work on building customizable software that helps field service teams stay aligned across the office and the field, and that focus creates a strong sense of purpose around solving real operational challenges for customers. Defined values and mission statements, award-winning customer support, and recognition programs like President's Club reflect a team environment that values impact, consistency and shared success.

Team Dynamics & Collaboration

Teams at FieldPulse collaborate by staying tightly connected around a shared mission: keeping field service businesses aligned across the office and the field. That focus shows up in the product itself and in how the company works internally, with cross-functional teams building tools that connect scheduling, estimates, invoices, payments, customer management and job management in one place. Collaboration is also supported by an open office floor plan, in-person all-hands meetings and a strong in-person office culture that encourages communication, fast problem-solving and close partnership across teams.

FieldPulse fosters a team environment centered on customization, customer impact and consistency at scale, which creates strong alignment between the people building the platform and the businesses using it. Award-winning customer support reinforces that collaborative approach by keeping teams close to customer needs and focused on helping contractors simplify operations and grow. Together, these signals point to a workplace where collaboration is practical, cross-functional and rooted in shared ownership of the customer experience.

Recognition Practices

Employee work at FieldPulse is recognized through both formal rewards and everyday visibility. The company offers a competitive compensation and rewards package, defined commission tiers for applicable employees and a designated President's Club, creating clear ways for strong performance to be celebrated. In-person all-hands meetings and a collaborative office environment also give employees opportunities to share wins and be recognized across teams.

Recognition is built into a culture that values connection, celebration and shared momentum. Company-sponsored outings, happy hours and team gatherings create space to acknowledge contributions, while FieldPulse's strong in-person culture reinforces the impact of each person's work on helping service businesses grow and operate more effectively.

FieldPulse Employee Perspectives

Name a recent decision that clearly reflected your values. What changed as a result?

We made the decision to raise the performance standard across the sales organization as we scaled. Not in response to a gap, but in anticipation of our growth.

At a growing startup, every person plays a critical role in shaping the future of the company. As we scaled quickly, we recognized that maintaining our momentum required evolving the way we operated. The same drive and execution that got us here would need to level up for where we’re going. We established a simple principle: 100 percent to goal is the expectation, not the exception. This was about creating clarity, ownership and alignment across the team as we continue building the next chapter of FieldPulse.

We anchored this standard through leadership first, ensuring it showed up in how we inspect pipelines, enforce KPIs and coach to outcomes. The impact was immediate: tighter execution, improved forecast accuracy and more consistency across teams. High performers leaned in and managers elevated how they drove accountability.

Most importantly, it reinforced a core value: As the business grows, the standard has to grow with it. Scaling isn’t just about adding people, it’s about leveling up how the entire system performs.

What habit keeps cross-team work moving — and how do you track its effect?

Relentless transparency.

Every motion across the business has a clear owner, defined handoffs and explicit escalation paths. No ambiguity, no silent dependencies. If something changes, the team knows immediately.

But transparency only works if it’s operationalized. Our sales leaders spend roughly 90 percent of their time coaching and inspecting work in real time, ensuring nothing stalls between teams. That creates constant visibility into where deals, projects or initiatives are breaking down.

We track the impact through day-over-day performance metrics, like pipeline progression, stage conversion rates and cycle time. When transparency is high, friction is low and you see it immediately in speed and consistency of execution.

The habit isn’t just communication. It’s making work visible enough that problems can’t hide.

How do you make recognition fair and visible — and what metric proves it works?

For FieldPulse, recognition should be earned, visible and repeatable.

We operate with full transparency across the sales organization. Performance metrics are consistently published, wins are called out in real time and recognition happens in the same public channels where work happens. That ensures everyone understands what “great” looks like.

We’ve built clear, objective promotion paths (account executive to senior account executive, senior account executive to leadership), removing ambiguity around advancement. On top of that, we reinforce performance through structured recognition, like monthly “Juggernaut” awards for top closers and President’s Club for elite performers.

The metric that proves it works is internal mobility and retention. Four of our seven current sales managers started as account executives or business development representatives. High performers don’t just get recognized, they grow here.

When recognition is tied to clear outcomes and consistently visible, it drives both performance and belief in the system.
