Support sourcing strategy, supplier negotiations, supply planning, risk reduction, cost optimization, and supplier performance reporting for Exowatt’s P3 energy system. The intern will build cost models, evaluate suppliers and contract manufacturers, develop sourcing recommendations, collaborate with engineers, work on the factory floor, and present findings to supply chain leadership. The role is in-person in Austin during the Spring 2027 term.

The Global Supply Manager will manage contract manufacturers, suppliers, and strategic partners; lead negotiations, supply planning, forecasting, risk mitigation, sourcing, and cost-reduction initiatives. The role coordinates engineering, manufacturing, quality, finance, and external partners to support product launches. Responsibilities include supplier performance tracking, data-driven leadership updates, and hands-on evaluation of mechanical and electrical systems, tooling, fixtures, manufacturability, and quality. The position is based in Austin with occasional Miami work and approximately 25% domestic and international travel.

Owns supplier, incoming, in-process, and final quality for hardware manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include supplier qualification, audits, FAI and PPAP reviews, inspection and control plans, root-cause investigations, CAPA, NCR and SCAR management, quality metrics, NPI support, metrology, documentation, and QMS development. Partners with engineering, supply chain, reliability, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to improve yield and scale production.

Own the long-term reliability of Exowatt’s P3 energy system hardware. Responsibilities include defining reliability requirements, designing accelerated life tests, leading FMEA and RCM studies, analyzing field failures and Weibull data, managing FRACAS, developing reliability models, tracking KPIs, and partnering with design, quality, manufacturing, and customer teams to improve system availability.

Design, build, align, and test optomechanical assemblies for solar tracker platforms. Hands-on CAD-to-prototype work using PTC Creo/SolidWorks, run FEA and hand calculations, instrument and commission test stands, troubleshoot electromechanical systems, and integrate AI agents for scripting and analysis. Collaborate across controls, software, and supply chain teams; present design reviews and maintain documentation.
