Performs SOC 1 and SOC 2 examinations, including walkthroughs, control testing, evidence evaluation, exception assessment, workpaper preparation, and report support. Assists with IT audit and advisory engagements, cybersecurity assessments, and framework consulting. The role also involves documenting findings, meeting engagement deadlines and budgets, collaborating with teams, and supporting newer associates and interns.

Provides client onboarding and offboarding support, sets up clients and jobs in STAR and tax-preparation software, manages business formations and IRS filings, organizes tax documents, maintains tracking spreadsheets, administers SmartVault access, and fulfills authorized document requests.

Performs audit, review, and compilation engagements for diverse clients. Responsibilities include planning, control testing, substantive procedures, financial statement preparation, internal control assessment, risk analysis, issue resolution, client communication, and management reporting. The role also supports process improvements and business development. A bachelor’s degree in accounting is required, with CPA eligibility or progress toward the CPA exam preferred. Local travel is frequent, with up to 5% travel outside West Michigan.
