Compassus is hosting a walk-in hiring event for its Pendleton, Indiana home health program. Current openings include Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, and Speech Language Pathologist. Candidates can meet clinical services directors, learn about home health careers, and discuss career goals. Requirements vary by role and include relevant degrees or accredited nursing credentials, clinical licensure, and one to two years of applicable experience, with home health experience required for some positions.

Obtain and track insurance verifications, authorizations, and re-authorizations for home health patients. Contact payors for benefits, precertifications, and authorization parameters; ensure accuracy with Medicare/Medicaid and third-party rules. Support revenue cycle processes, resolve insurance issues, communicate with care teams and payors, and complete authorization tasks within established time frames.

Provide hospice LPN/LVN nursing under RN supervision: observe and report patient condition, implement plan of care, manage symptoms, educate families, document care, manage caseload, triage and medication desk duties, collaborate with interdisciplinary team, and comply with hospice regulations and quality improvement activities.

Manage and coordinate business office operations for hospice program including billing/reimbursement, payroll, accounts payable, records management, onboarding, compliance tracking, vendor liaison, supply procurement, and user support for EMR/Workday systems. Support regulatory preparedness and serve as departmental liaison.

Prepares and labels medications, including sterile parenteral solutions and IV admixtures, under pharmacist supervision. Performs aseptic compounding, sterility and quality-control testing, inventory management, equipment maintenance, recordkeeping, cleaning, and compliance documentation. The technician supports pharmacy operations, quality assurance, and communication with the healthcare team while following applicable laws and organizational procedures.

Coordinates hospice business-office operations, including billing, claims, payroll, accounts payable, purchasing, records retention, HRIS updates, onboarding, licensing compliance, regulatory preparedness, inventory, and office support. Serves as a liaison among clinical teams, human resources, payroll, vendors, long-term care facilities, and external stakeholders. Provides training assistance, troubleshoots software and office equipment, maintains confidential records, and supports quality and compliance activities.

Provides bereavement support as a hospice interdisciplinary team member: develops and implements bereavement care plans, delivers counseling and grief support groups, coordinates memorial services, maintains resources, educates IDT and community, and documents program effectiveness for families and non-family caregivers for at least one year post-death.

Manage business office operations for a hospice program: billing and reimbursement, payroll, records maintenance, HRIS/Workday data entry, vendor relations, supplies, compliance, and cross-department troubleshooting to support regulatory readiness.

Lead payor contracting strategy and execution across hospice, palliative, home health, and home infusion. Manage payor engagement end-to-end: modeling, outreach, negotiations, contracting, implementation, and issue resolution. Collaborate with Contracting, Finance, Operations, Strategy, and local market teams to grow payor partnerships and support contract performance, reporting, and operational best practices.

Provide strategic legal and regulatory counsel on federal and state healthcare laws (Medicare Conditions of Participation, Anti-Kickback, Stark, HIPAA/HITECH, fraud/waste/abuse, licensing). Lead licensing and CON strategy, support audits, investigations, regulatory due diligence, and policy development. Partner with Compliance, Clinical Ops, Revenue Cycle, and Government Affairs to mitigate regulatory risk, review agreements and operational initiatives, and educate stakeholders to support patient care and business operations.

Provide administrative and program support for an agency delivering patient care: coordinate services, assist staff with documentation and scheduling, support compliance and communication between teams and families, and contribute to operational tasks that enable high-quality patient care.

Perform HR-supported, student-driven strategic projects across Talent Acquisition, Colleague Relations, Compensation, Benefits, Learning & Development, and HRIS. Assist with departmental materials, collaborate with HR leaders, communicate findings to directors, manage multiple tasks, document program initiatives, provide outstanding customer service, and complete other assigned duties while receiving mentorship.

Partner with divisional leaders to deliver HR strategy, organizational design, leadership development, performance management, benefits administration, dispute resolution, and HR metrics. Drive HR programs, intake and triage employee issues, ensure policy compliance, coordinate projects (open enrollment, audits), and support culture and workforce planning across Western US operations.
