Support foreign exchange and cross-border payment solutions within CIBC’s Alternate Solutions Group. The Internal Audit Intern supports risk-based audits across business processes and operations. Complete supported CIRO licensing and learn CIBC systems and lending processes before joining a Wealth Management team.

Participate in a 12-month Private Wealth rotational program across Private Banking, Wood Gundy, and head office. Build client relationships, provide financial planning and investment advice, support lending and wealth management solutions, develop new business, participate in community outreach, and collaborate with banking and investment specialists. Complete required CIRO licensing within six months and transition into a CIBC Wealth Management team.

Participates in a 12-month Private Wealth rotational program supporting client relationship management, financial planning, investment advice, lending, business development, and community outreach. Builds and manages client portfolios, develops new relationships, and collaborates with banking and wealth-management specialists. The role includes supported licensing and education in CIBC systems and lending processes, leading to a wealth-management position after program completion.

Participate in a 12-month private wealth rotation across Private Banking, Wood Gundy, and Head Office. Build client relationships, support financial planning, develop new business, provide investment and credit solutions, and participate in community outreach. Supports equity and equity-linked underwriting, advisory, derivatives, margin loan, and financing transactions. Responsibilities include preparing client and internal presentations, analyzing financial statements, tracking equity and derivatives markets, conducting research and transaction due diligence, and assisting with structuring and execution. The analyst collaborates with investment banking, global markets, and risk teams while supporting senior professionals and developing client relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Contribute to software application development across the software development life cycle, including coding, testing, debugging, technical design, and integration. Collaborate with technology and business teams, analyze issues, support regulatory and information security compliance, and develop solutions across platforms. Participate in training, mentorship, and leadership opportunities while building technical, analytical, and communication skills.

Supports Risk Management Audit through audit testing, documentation, data analysis, reporting, project coordination, and process automation. The intern gains exposure to risk portfolios including data, capital stress testing, reputational and strategic risk, and risk culture while collaborating with experienced audit and risk professionals. Responsibilities also include maintaining audit records, supporting process improvements, managing priorities, and contributing to timely project delivery.
