The Controller oversees accounting and finance functions, including fixed assets, reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audits, and GAAP compliance. The role manages month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes, prepares financial statements, analyzes earnings and expenses, and supports senior management. It requires accounting experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable, costing, and general ledger activities, with responsibility across facilities in Illinois and South Dakota.

The Senior Staff Accountant compiles and analyzes financial data, prepares general ledger entries and financial reports, monitors GAAP and company policy compliance, investigates accounting discrepancies, analyzes costs and trends, and supports the Controller with facility issues and special projects. The role also handles administrative accounting tasks, requires collaboration across departments, and may involve overtime in an on-site manufacturing environment.

Designs and optimizes manufacturing processes, improves production efficiency and quality, performs troubleshooting and root-cause analysis, and supports equipment commissioning. Manages environmental, health, and safety compliance, including OSHA and EPA requirements, permits, inspections, incident investigations, safety training, chemical inventories, waste programs, and sustainability initiatives.

Implement and maintain quality standards for products and manufacturing processes. Develop FMEAs, process flows, and control plans; conduct capability studies and SPC; participate in APQP; lead root cause analysis and corrective actions; and resolve inspection and measurement-system issues. The role collaborates with Quality Control, requires strong communication and attention to detail, and involves limited travel and plant-floor work.

Coordinates custom clinical trial labeling and booklet projects from customer requirements through project setup. Communicates with customers and internal teams, prepares quotations and estimates, reviews specifications and documentation, verifies labels and materials for accuracy, coordinates scheduling and inventory, maintains project records, and supports quality and process improvement activities.

Drives RFID label product development from design through high-volume manufacturing. Responsibilities include product architecture, BOM creation and auditing, ERP data management, material yield analysis, engineering change notices, test planning, RF and physical performance verification, prototype production runs, data analysis, and troubleshooting manufacturing defects. The role collaborates with sales, manufacturing, quality, procurement, vendors, and clients to commercialize reliable products meeting performance, cost, and timeline targets.

Performs the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoice preparation, sales batch reconciliation, revenue recognition, customer issue resolution, sub-ledger and general ledger reconciliation, credit memos, collections, and month-end close support. Maintains AR records and filing systems, assists with phone coverage and office tasks, and cross-trains in accounts payable and cash applications. Requires strong organization, communication, attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Coordinates custom label orders from purchase order review through production and delivery. Enters sales orders, verifies specifications, resolves discrepancies, expedites open orders, communicates with production and customers, supports salesperson relationships, communicates pricing, records quality defects, and coordinates customer complaints, credit memos, and billing adjustments.

Coordinate and maintain daily/weekly production schedules, prioritize jobs based on due dates and material availability, communicate updates to production teams, monitor work-in-progress, collaborate with purchasing and customer service, maintain ERP scheduling records, and support continuous improvement to meet delivery commitments and reduce downtime.

Manages product data, engineering documentation, ERP records, bills of materials, routings, specifications, and product structures. Supports product launches, engineering changes, quotations, manufacturing feasibility, root cause analysis, corrective actions, compliance verification, design reviews, and customer engagement. Coordinates cross-functional activities to ensure accurate product execution, regulatory compliance, and effective manufacturing processes.

Leads end-to-end development and commercialization of aerosol, beverage, and specialty packaging products. Responsibilities include concept design, 2D drawings and 3D modeling, feasibility analysis, prototyping, tooling procurement and qualification, container sizing, manufacturing support, specifications management, and technical documentation. The role also resolves product and manufacturing issues and supports innovation across packaging operations.

Develops new business, manages customer relationships, and achieves sales targets. Handles the full sales cycle, including prospecting, presentations, proposals, pricing, negotiation, closing, account growth, and customer issue resolution. Maintains CRM records, prepares forecasts and reports, monitors satisfaction, and collaborates with internal teams to meet customer needs.

Oversees plant accounting operations: payroll, AP/AR, fixed assets, product costing, budgeting, monthly/quarterly financial reporting, inventory control, reconciliations, and supervises accounting staff while supporting internal audit and HR submissions.

Supports enterprise IT operations across multiple sites and business units. Administers and develops SharePoint environments, migrates Lotus Notes content, manages Microsoft 365 services, and supports QAD systems. Installs software, manages licensing and Windows updates, maintains PCs, printers, networks, VPNs, routers, switches, and access points, and addresses security vulnerabilities. Provides user troubleshooting, onboarding, documentation, hardware deployment, and backup network support. Requires SharePoint, networking, programming, communication, and organizational skills, along with limited-supervision capability.

Manage full accounts payable and receivable cycles including invoice matching, supplier setup in JDE, payment processing, collections, customer payments, intercompany billings, and support for internal/external audits. Maintain AP/AR filing and perform bank Positive Pay procedures.

Lead process improvement and R&D initiatives for label and packaging production: plan and execute projects, run trials, analyze data, implement lean/Six Sigma improvements, support cross-functional teams, provide technical sales support, and maintain Elite Plant Standards.

Lead and coordinate all HR functions across multiple plant locations including recruitment, payroll, benefits, compliance, LMS administration, employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, HR metrics reporting, and managing HR/payroll/L&D staff to support organizational goals and employee engagement.
