SUMMARY

Responsible for providing timely and accurate information on the operation of the facility to allow both the plant and the corporate headquarters to make accurate decisions while safeguarding the company’s total assets.

Preferred Qualifications

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. This list is not all inclusive and may include other duties as necessary.

 

  • Reviews and assures accurate completion of the payroll.
  • Creates monthly/quarterly financial reports.
  • Engages with the internal audit team and carries out any necessary relevant follow-up.
  • Communicates with the production support team and assures accurate production reporting and inventory control daily.
  • Responsible for fixed asset reporting including justification of spending.
  • Supervises the accounting clerical personnel, including Payroll Mgr., A/P Coordinator, A/R Coordinator, Pricing Mgr., and front office Receptionist.
  • Works closely with the human resources department on creating submissions for the government and training grants.
  • Reviews outstanding receivables and discusses with the Sales Manager.
  • Responsible for creating the annual budget and forecasting monthly results while analyzing the actual versus the budget.
  • Reviews product costing and analysis of product profitability and future job pricing.
  • Prepares and reviews annual performance evaluations with all direct reports.
  • Completes annual census reports.
  • Reviews and approves team JE’s and balance sheet reconciliations.

  • As a supervisor or manager at CCL Industries, one must professionally always present his/herself. Continually developing the staff that works with and for them. 
  • Directly supervises 5 employees in the Accounting Department.
  • Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this position successfully, an individual must understand word processing, spreadsheets, and/or graphics.  These may include Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

A BS degree in accounting, along with 5 plus years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

CPA, preferred

Skills Required

  • BS degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • CPA credential
  • Supervisory/managerial experience (managing accounting staff, interviewing, hiring, performance management)
  • Proficiency with Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience with payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll review
  • Experience with fixed asset reporting, product costing, budgeting, forecasting, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Experience engaging with internal audit and preparing required follow-up
